Five Reasons to Keep the MSFS2024 Glass Half Filled

It also sort of depletes one's credibility when they complain about the "haters" and follow it up with a  "tough sh** deal with it and then please keep raging because it's fun to watch"  which sort of makes them look like a "hater"

Na, not complaining about "haters" but more laughing at the hyperbole coming out of some.

Indeed, to anyone raging about how people are paying MS/Asobo to alpha/beta test their product is always gonna receive a "deal with it" response from me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Except we are not yammering daily about our positive experiences, and no we are *not* saying there is nothing wrong, but valiant attempt at making things up bud! Your ingenious twisting of words above made me smile like:

Of course you are!!  For everyone who posts they are unhappy there are a group that come with pics and videos talking about how it works great for them and they aren't experiencing any bugs or they don't bother them and for everyone who posts how happy they are there is someone to tell them how they shouldn't be LOL.

It absolutely goes both ways, it's funny you talk about hyperbole but ignore hypocrisy.    Ironic that but you have to be a flat earther to deny it goes both ways LOL

Falling back to wait for me is not negativity. When MSFS2020 came out, I waited for a few months to see how it's getting on. It's the same for MSFS2024, I'm going to wait until March at least when hopefully all the main bugs have been sorted out.

Appears you understood my < >.  Not equal to.....

Sure you can think whatever you want. I was talking about daily threads regurgitating the positive side like the daily negative threads 🙂

For those who have yet to purchase 2024...If you're going to buy it later anyway, why wait? You can buy it now and at least try it. No loss. I'm sure it will get better and better just like 2020 did.

Need to touch base with you on your success with Blacksquare 2020 models.  Since acquiring TDS updates, I am unable to start a 2024 flight with either the Bsq Baron or Bonanza.  The Bsq Dukes both succeed.  When attempting to start flights with either the Bsq Baron or Bonanza, the world map zooms to the map overview but never zooms in to start the flight. Not to a running model on a runway, or to a cold and dark at a parking spot.  Once MSFS 2024 "stalls" I can use the ESC spot at the lower left corner of the screen and return to the main menu.  But once there I cannot exit to the desktop.  Have to use task manager to close the sim.  Very frustrating.  Has caused me for the time being to return to MSFS 2020 for GA prop model based flights.  The Bsq Baron and Bonanza are my goto models for shorter lower level flights.

My only interim installation has been the TDS GTN 2024 update.

Not having much better experience with some MSFS 2024 default aircraft, even at default MSFS 2024 airports.  Incredibly frustrating.

I am accessing the Bsq aircraft models with Addons Linker (2020 & 2024 version) from a common addons folder set established in MSFS 2020.  My Hjet, and my Bsq Dukes (Dukes with working TDS), installed the same way, both work fine and without this issue.

First thing is to copy the asobo bonanza and baron from the 2020 official folder to the new official2020 folder! Without that it does not work.

A copy relocates the very same files. How is that different from calling those same files from Addons Linker?  The sim should see and process those files the same way.  A seeing eye dog sees what a seeing eye dog sees.

My installations of those aircraft are obviously not from the MSFS Marketplace.  They are addons, not marketplace purchases.  So what is the relationship to the Official folder?

You need both the asobo and bsq files.

They depend on the asobo originals, unlike the Duke.

I only ever use one version of the same simulator. When I eventually make the decision to upgrade, MSFS 2020 will be uninstalled. That's why everything needs to be in place and corrected first.

It’s both insane and fascinating how MSFS2024 drives such a wedge between flight simming enthusiasts. I can’t recall seeing this (at the same extent) with 2020.

It usually reared its ugly head in 2020 when anything about PMDG was posted. People get tribal.

To me it looks better to wait a few weeks/months till the most issues severe have been fixed…

Would you buy a certain car you like which is known for having major issues or would you wait till these issues have been fixed fitst ?

MSFS gets updated/fixed every few weeks without the need to go to the garage. I don't think that this analogy goes very far. :-)
