Did I get the OV-10 thru the 2020 MarketPlace?

Featured Replies

The AzurPoly OV-10 is one of my favorite aircraft in 2020 and I want to fly it in 2024.  The AzurPoly discord page shows the OV-10 to be 2024 compatible.

I fly the OV-10 out of the community folder in 2020 and that works.  I put the OV-10 in the 2024 community folder.  When in the 2024 sim and looking at My Library: I find the OV-10 in community but it is grayed out with two text boxes showing:  Disabled and "Restart the Sim".   I select options and enable and then restart the sim.  The OV-10 remains disabled and nothing I do will enable it.  I have had good luck enabling many other addons so I know that process works.

The OV-10 also appears in the MSFS 2020 library (2024 My Library page)  with the Disabled and Restart Sim boxes and I have had no success in enabling the MSFS 2020 library version in 2024.

When I remove the OV-10 from the 2024 Community folder it still appears in the MSFS 2020 library on the 2024 My Library page.

I have no record of purchasing the OV-10 thru the 2020 Market Place.  Is there a way to have Market Place show me my  orders?  All my other Market Place products do appear in the 2024 library as expected.

But, confusing me even more, is the fact that SimMarket, Just Flight, ORBX, Contrail all show I did not purchase the AzurPoly OV-10 from them.  AzurPoly shows those sites, and Market PLace, to be the only locations selling the OV-10.

I have searched my download libraries very carefully and find NO installer or zip file for the OV-10 so it seems like it must have been a Market Place purchase.  How do I verify that?

AND... how do I enable the AzurPolu OV-10 in 2024?

My understanding is a MSFS2020 Market Place purchase should show up in your MSFS2020 Content Manager, but not as in your Community folder. A MarketPlace purchase ends up in the OneStore folder. And you should be able to redownload a MarketPlace purchase at no charge since you already own it.

Not specifically the OV-10, but I had this with various 2020 packages under 2024. As far as I can tell it's all still borked in that area and I personally have given up trying and just use current 2024 aircraft. And anyway, when you do get a 2020 aircraft package to work you don't get a pilot in external view and that's no use to me either.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Problem (was it?) solved!

For an unknown reason (possible operator/administrator error) the AzurPoly OV-10 which I did purchase thru the Market Place was not installed and did not appear in the uninstalled list in Market Place or Content Manager.  I did find a valid copy in the MSFS 2020 Community folder.

When I used the 2020 Market Place and tried to purchase the OV-10 - I saw the message "Owned" on the OV-10 info page.   But there was no copy of it in the list of contents.  I then told MarketPlace to download the OV-10 and it did so and it then became available in Content Manager.

I then had Content Manager Install the OV-10 and now all is good and it works very well in 2020 and 2024.

The Bronco has only just been released into 2024 by MS in the last couple of days anyway
