Microsof FSX's success: FS9 vs. FSX sales

Recommended Posts

Guest jacilore

Hi all:It's several months since FSX's launch and I think it's clear that many users (as I), have decided to remain in FS9. So I was wondering the commercial result for Microsoft. Do any of you know if there is any information available about the programs sold by Microsoft of each version.?I know it can be off-topic, but I didn't find any other forum where to post this. Thanks anyway

Ok. thanks.Anyway, isn't there by chance, any estimation?. And by the way, when is FS-11 supposed to be launched?I know it's possibly to soon to know, but I wonder if there's any kind of agreement in the simmer's community.thanks again.

>Ok. thanks.>>Anyway, isn't there by chance, any estimation?. I can't begin to estimate on FSX sales figures, but as Jim said, it must be good or else they wouldn't be doing FS11.>And by the>way, when is FS-11 supposed to be launched?>No one knows for sure. My guess is in 2010. XMas 2009 seems to be the earliest possible date that is mentioned, but it's all conjecture at this point in time.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

It's all over the Internet. FS11 will be out in 2011. See the connection.Yes I know, FSX was not released in 2010, but trust me, it's 2011. Now that I think about:FS9 was not released in 2009.FS5 was not released in 2005. Or was that 1995?Maybe I'm wrong?

Any date speculation is just that, speculation.Could we just have fun with FSX for a while longer? You'd think on a day when such a great plane, the Spit, was released, there would be better topics.

Thanks for the info Phil. Everyone should just simply enjoy what they have with FSX and quit worrying about the next iteration, especially those that haven't even moved to FSX yet. >FS11 is not, repeat not, in 2008.>>TrainSim is in 2009,>http://www.tsinsider.com/en-US/Pages/default.aspx.>>FS11 is after that. How much, that I cannot talk to. But>after.>>So lets please stop with the 2008 talk, as my 3 1/2 year old>says "thats crazy talk daddy".Uhh, Phil, you've been around here long enough to know that we;re all a little nuts.I'm looking forward to MSTS so I can run my commuter train (MBTA in Boston- also my employer) It'll be cool to get a bit of old Colony lovin' going on!BTW, my bet is no earlier than 2010 for FS11 :)
