I have an itch. An itch to buy a new aeroplane for MSFS2024. No 'I've got the XYZ to work in ~24' A proper guaranteed 2024.

I have, like the rest of you, managed to move over some 2020s but I'm reticent about buying a 2020 and chancing my arm.

Where are the bona fide 24s?

What's that smell? Oh it's a hole burning in my pocket!

A great question, Ron - I'll follow with interest. There seem to be very few that are truly compatible - I imagine most developers are playing catchup.

Just Flight Avro RJ Professional

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

FSReborn M500 is a beauty in MS2024. Or are you asking for an addon specifically designed for 2024?

I don't think any third party aircraft have been developed specifically for 2024.

Maybe some of the included aircraft have been.

Intel Core i9-10900K at 5.2GHz, Corsair H115i PRO, ASUS MAXIMUS XII HERO Z490, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 15-16-16-36, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090, SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB x 3, Corsair HX Series HX1000 Watt PSU, Pimax Crystal LIght.

That's the impression I'm getting. I mean - it's next to impossible to create liveries for 2024 let alone full-blown aircraft :(

I think only one plane has been released since 2024 came out. And it was designed for 2020, not 2024.

At 17:33 he puts on an airshow. This GA plane has the best sounds of all in my opinion.

What about helicopters? Is HPG 145 the only addon that is "fully" compatible with 2024?

I've been keeping an eye on the CAS J3 Piper Cub, and it looks like they recently released an experimental update for 2024.

simMarket: CAS PIPER J-3 CUB MSFS2024

I think we'll be seeing a lot of updates to existing aircraft before we see versions built from the ground up for 2024. Many 2020 aircraft already match the visual quality that we have in 2024 and will just need the flight model tweaked and walk around features added to take full advantage of 2024.

COWS DA-42 was one of the first to be updated for MSFS2024 if you don't already have it. Works perfectly.

I jumped instantly on the discounted upgrade of the A300 prem and its a real beauty to fly. And as these are local installs you can create repaints easily as the new structure is available locally. And with the nvidia texture tool its easy to export to the new .ktx2 format. Interestingly if you created a 2020 repaint its just exporting the textures to new format and arrange in the new structure. I created our VA paints for the 2024 version without problems and they are showing correctly with variants and liveries. Only smaller issues with the A300 prem are the sim will freeze when going back to main menu and some shimmering reflections on the windows under some circumstances. But both not killing the fun for me.

The T33 is a nice bird to faff around and quite nicely done. The Cub is bought but not flown yet. Stuck in A300 cargo flights.

The RJ is indeed a 2020 compatible plane but nonetheless working without issues. It can use the 2020 liveries without problems.

Personally I enjoy 2024 without any bigger issues and way happy with it.

Cheers T.

Agree, works like a charm in 2024. Great little aircraft!
