getting sick with this.

I finally managed to setup the Thrusmaster Stick and Throttle Quadrant for 2024 and the Fenix. Applied the Branke (not parking brake) to button 1 on the stick. But when on ground the plane only moves when going into TOGA. It seems the brakes are in some way not working but i have no clue what else to do.

I deinstalled the Fenix, deleted all folders but no success.

Any ideas from you guys ?

Thanks a ton, Carsten

Did you start in Ready mode on a runway? If so, remove the chocks.

Kind regards,

Fenix now uses “authentic” parking brake.  You must depress the toe brakes at the same time you select the parking brake.  Then you brakes should disengage and you Fenix should be movable.

Oh Bro, that did the trick. Thank you so much, you saved my Sunday. The break from simming was obviously to long..

I’m glad it work for you but in reality you don’t need to step on the brakes on an Airbus to release them.
So that could probably be a bug in the Fenix or a control assignment issue in the sim.

No you're confusing it with the Boeings. Neither the Fenix nor the real Airbus does that. However sometimes the sim itself seems to get stuck on the ground (happened with all kinds of aircraft to me) and then pushing the pedals indeed resolves this. It's not an intentional feature though 😉

You don't have to be rude! You are asking for help, and that person was trying to help. We don't know what your level of knowledge is. Obviously not a superior as you think since you can't get the plane to move. I was going to offer a suggestion, but not now!

I have found that the brake switch on the TM Airbus throttle quadrant often gives me a brakes stuck on condition with different aircraft which requires a full brake application to release.

It’s strange and I haven’t wrapped my head around why because there’s nothing that shows the brakes still being on but they definitely are.

Jeez and here I thought the Fenix was experiential for MS 2024 at this point (and buggy) or am I wrong? Do they even offer support for 2024?

The user here is at own risk with an issue and should accept any help from another user. That is the only point.

They don't yet, but the plane works perfectly in 2024 and the installer installs it into 2024. They are simply validating all edge cases and so on before they make it "official".

I've had no issues with the Fenix, but I don't do non-normal ops, failures, and so on. Maybe there are issues there.

Known Issues (MSFS 2024)

  • We’ve only had MSFS 2024 for a few days, so there may be some issues - please be patient with us as we learn this new sim platform alongside you.
  • To enter the cockpit from the outside, you will need to press Shift + C (or whatever you’ve assigned to “TAKE CONTROL OF CHARACTER”). We plan to add more click spots at a later stage.
  • Liveries installed via the livery manager and externally won’t have thumbnails. We plan to update this later.
  • Lights are too dim during the day (affects most MSFS 2024 aircraft).
  • Some sounds disappear occasionally (known MSFS 2024 issue).
  • Detail/normal maps are missing on some surfaces (known MSFS 2024 issue, fix due in the first major patch).
  • Registration/SELCAL plate shows with black text.
  • Cockpit display brightness and reflectivity inconsistent at times.
  • Clicking on the EFB sometimes takes a few attempts. Fixed in v2.3.0.541
  • The installer takes slightly longer at the “scanning” stage, this is something we’ll optimise.

? Never heard of this especially if you don't have rudder pedals with brakes to push which I don't - what am I missing here

I just release parking brake with a button and it works
