What add ons would a repair install kill?

I assume it wont take out aircraft but would something like FTX need to be reinstalled?

Any add-ons which replace default FSX files would be hosed, as the Repair option is going to recopy the default files back.I don't have FTX to really know for sure (I use GEX), but I would imagine after running a repair on FSX, you'd need to reinstall FTX also.Cheers,

If the replacement textures have the same name, and probably if they are the same size, then it may very well be that the Repair option will be incapable of telling them from the default textures. So, we could assume that they will not be removed and replaced by the default textures.Best regards.Luis

Not sure exactly how the repair option works (since that's proprietary) however I'd assume that creation dates would also be checked, and perhaps even as far as a checksum against original files (more likely).I would assume rather that any add-on that is designed to replace original files would have to be reinstalled following a repair operation.Some add-ons, such as mission add-ons, would not be affected depending on exactly how they were developed.Cheers,

Easy enough to check, Kevin, so I did the following with some of the Acceleration textures:1. Carrier_Deck.dds 1024 x 1024 pixels, 683 kB, September 26, 2007, 4:22:14 PMunchanged but saved with today
