Chile..Chile...and more Chile.....

Recommended Posts

No offense meant, but will Photorealistic CHILE ever stop being posted on the front page of AVSIM? What's with Chile? I'd love to go there, but it doesn't seem to have the same sense of urgency as many, many other places to visit in FSX.I think I've seen Chile photorealistic downloads since FSX was released. Is there something in Chile that I'm missing? Does it have the same scenery as Rio, Lake Tahoe, Los Angeles, Phoenix, or many other locations?Again, no offense, but what's with Chile? LOL !

Obviously it means something to someone. I'm not going to knock it. Just one more developer devoting their time to FSX.

Someone went to a lot of work to make those files available to the community and a lot of people appreciate it. They've been some of the most heavily downloaded files. But even if they weren't popular the effort should be appreciated at least to the extent that you don't begrudge a mouseclick to get past it. Bill

I'm sorry but this post just wrenches the guts out of me. A freeware author is giving his time and effort to make photorealistic scenery for you and this is how you show your appreciation. No offence ...Roger

Offence taken...The man loves his country and wants to put it on the FS map. As the others have pointed out, this stuff is being offered for free.May I kindly ask that you treat his work with the same respect that you would wish me, and everyone as un-American as myself, to offer to all the American uploads in the library.Doug Dawson

:+ I also think that this post is hillarious!!!I assume Stan's reaction comes from his frustration (that I share) to see so few downloads for FSX everyday in the library but Chile.Nothing to do with being or not American, to love or not his country, to be devoted or not to the sim community.I see no offence here but just a humorous reaction. No lack of respect, the words used aren't insulting at all.Should we always be serious and politically correct??Come on guys! Leave that to politicians! :-)Please, David Ventura Chamudes, keep on uploading your files for your beautiful country and please Stan, keep on telling your thoughts with humor and respect!!Just my 2c :-)

David Roch

It's fantastic and well worth the download! Chile is a beautiful not to mention challenging place to fly. Try those approaches to Santiago over the Andes ...

I'm more wondering how does he do it... haven't tried it but says photorealistic... If it is possible to do entire Chile, why not the Coachella valley... it's desert too after all. Saludos desde la maravillosa ciudad de Palm Springs a Chile!!Kurt

To the OP, personally I think photorealistic Los Angeles and Mega NorthSouthEastWest is the most boring piece of scenery out there. I'd say Chile offers far more! Keep it coming.

Any screenshot?btw, isn't hilarious spelled with one L only?I see several posts where it is spelled differently.
