Later articles decided we'd all be moving to mobile for gaming, because apparently Candy Crush is now a legitimate alternative to Grand Theft Auto. They've been predicting the death of the PC for over a decade, and this year is no different. If anything, it's gotten more popular as evidenced by the skyrocketing prices we're all paying for it (my god, 2 grand for a video card!?) The capable video cards are basically starting at an Xbox One series X price and an Xbox One series X is a pretty capable machine. If one is only gaming and is not a hardcore simmer, there really isn't much reason to buy a PC these days. imho Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com

Disagree 100%, paying to play online, on limited hardware, in a closed ecosystem, limited input choice, limited modding ability, no upgrade paths outside of buying brand new, no secondary monitor, no multi-purpose device, locked at hilariously low framerates and medium settings. Console gaming is awful. Console gaming is awful. The thing is that I'm not stating my preference, the trend is there. I can't stand cloud gaming, but it's also a trend. A trend that will eventually be the demise of the console as we know it. Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
