January 11, 20251 yr What is going on with MS2020 today? Start it up, go to update page, stays there for at least 5 min's. then goes to that one screen after a normal update. That take's another five minutes. Finally gets to welcome page. Notice Market Place is offline, then crash to desktop....this has happened at least 4 times this morning....come on !!!!

January 11, 20251 yr Well, it certainly could never be that they would intentionally create annoying issues with fs2020 to get people to buy fs2024. None of us could possibly comprehend how complex of a process it must be to ping a server to check the version number. You should be thankful that they are able to do it in less than an hour. If it took 4 hours it will still be an amazing feat of technological prowess and server responsiveness.

January 11, 20251 yr This is the nightmare I hoped we did not have to deal with when msfs 2020 was released. Offline mode is an option, but can you imagine the look outside the window? MSFS
January 11, 20251 yr Yep, same issue here. I got around the long wait period (I timed 17 minutes to Homepage) by disconnecting my ethernet cable, then after reaching homepage reconnecting. I managed abut 15 minutes of flying until a CTD. Did this 3 times and eventually got CTD's in under 15 minutes of flying. Good goin'... i7-9700K, MSI Z370, PNY 4070 Super, GTX 750Ti, 32GB GSkill, 43" curved Samsung, 32" BenQ, 11" LED, RealSImGear GTN750, Win10, P3DV5.4/P3DV6 and MSFS, several GoFlight modules, Saitek radio, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Virtual Fly TQ6.
