This is the nightmare I hoped we did not have to deal with when msfs 2020 was released. Offline mode is an option, but can you imagine the look outside the window?

Well an option could be best of two worlds. Download „base“ scenery like for 2020 and then (1) stream an overlay/replacement of high(er) fidelity 2024 and/or (2) download some dedicated 2024 scenery like the cache, though not rolling. Such an option would at least fit for me.

That doesn't actually have anything to do with this problem, I mean more generally, because you'll see what's coming in the near future if they don't make major changes to their steaming infrastructure..

cheers 🙂

Absolutely, you can't convince me that Asobo didn't do something with the 2020 servers to fix 2024. Apparently, they are trying to boost their cash cow.

Presumably, 2024 users will now see outages if 2020 is working ok. Asobo must have flipped the switch on the servers that says 'Favour 2020 - Favour 2024' to the other position.

This must be it. I’m sure Jörg called Seb saying “I think we need to flip the switch again”. As soon as Seb flipped the switch, problem solved 👍🏻👌🏻
