No joke post. Just sums up how it is…

MSFS 2020 was at least better flyable after 2 months.

Imho accepting that it might take 2 years after release to becone stable without many bugs is not the way we should go.

And how do you know its not flyable, yesteday almost 6000 people was flying it on steam… Stability is just as good as 2020. Maybe you try it before forming opinions dragged from thin air… All these threads start to get kinda ridicilous, almost like a competition on who comes up with the most negative stuff,,,,

Marginally better visuals like clouds, lighting, general atmospheric effects look a bit more realistic (subjective).

Not really subjective, these are all facts.  The lighting is a major upgrade over 2020. Clouds are better and include more types. Especially noticeable are the much improved stratus layers.

The flight model particular ground effect and landing characteristics also feel somewhat improved but again this is subjective and could just be placebo.

Again, this feature is not subjective or a placebo.  Ground physics are much improved over 2020.

Ok I am cool with that but I also fly the Maddog X, PMDG and iFly Max that are not currently in MS2024. This is just my opinion as  MS 2024 is more suited for G.A.

Ah, that is a little clearer.  You have a personal requirement that certain aircraft are updated, rather than the sim itself not being suitable for airliners.

For those of you using 2024 with airliners, what advantages are there to msfs 2020?

I can clearly see this as a VFR sim when it works, but as an airliner sim, I have my doubts when there's so much that can go wrong.

Have you actually used 2024?  You have to filter out those who like to magnify the impact of a bug to get a better sense of what can go wrong.

The advantages have been stated many times.  Ground handling is far better for all aircraft types. Lighting, cloud improvements, cloud type improvements and performance increase. I have just flown over Los Angeles at a completely smooth 60fps using FG, TAA, TLOD 300, OLOD 200 and every setting on Ultra. I couldn't do that with 2020.

and than I saw that blurry texture for a 3 seconds on the Garmin MFD I was like fock it. ALT+F4 .

Is that really the amount of time you gave a new sim with a new card?

Now looks like I have another issue to fix the Internet speed

Your speed shouldn't be an issue.  You had to stream scenery in 2020 also.

I know my internet is not that great as I live in village and have 50Mbit wifi from my ISP.

Go with Starlink - it works great in any location as long as you have a view of the sky. I live on a canal narrowboat miles from the nearest town.  I have been using Starlink for two years with 2020/2024 and have never had a problem with streaming anything.

Bcs looks  like we/I will always have blurry textures somewhere,  either airport or from yesterday occurence , even on the airplane cockpit...

No you won't.  Make sure to increase your Rolling Cache too.  from your description you didn't give the sim time to do anything on first run.

So to reply to you.

1/ Yeah is  taht time I give to that MSFS2024 with new card.  I spent whole December with MSFS 2024 and whole month I was trying to fix the issues that I thought are on my side. Which partially they were due to Graphics card with only 8Gb Vram and well Internet speed barely 50Mbit.   So I must say sholw month fixing and frustrating myself what was not 100% my problem got on my nervous.  So yeah yesterday that bug with lights and that great streaming of textures of the cockpit just took over my and I alt+F4.   Should I not be word not allowed ?

2/ Yeah stream should not be an issue. In MSFS 2020 I did not have any issues at all. But with MSFS2024 blurry destination airport, objects suddenly popping in front of my , Buildings and trees looking like from Minecraft...

3/ Thinking about it. Starlink is quite good. I have LTE Micortik router and sim card with 100GB Data that I want to try. I have the LTE antena of O2 200 meters away from my house so planning to try it how it will work with MSFS 2024.   LTE has better speeds than my 5Ghz wifi 🙂

4/ You think I did not spent time to do all the possible fixes for this sim ?  Relly ?  I think I wrote already that I was playing whole decembner, so I for sure changed my rolling chace to 150Gigs , doing the change priority to High in task manager every time I run the game, playing only vannila not installing any mods  , using Auto FPS  , watched  youtube vidoes how to improve the game, read a lot of threads on Asobo forum .   So I am not that guy that is here just to troll and I am not taht guy that only heard about the issues. I am actually experiencing them first hand.

Strange. I've never had this, and I normally always fly from the APU Turnaround state (sometimes Engines Running/Ready to Go if I'm lazy).

I have it quite often but it seems more like a faulty fault indication. It does not seem to affect the system and you can't undo it in any of the failure options. So I just ignore it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

With 2024 I get a much better feeling of motion and inertia. Except for clouds, I very rarely see anything I repeat, anything pop in front of me. Approaches and landing are the most fluid experiences I have ever experienced. I can judge height better than I ever could before. I feel comfortable flying aircraft... kind of like... you imagine it should be.

I could go on and on  and on but I don't want to sound like a broken record.

Are there bugs and anomalies? Too many to list and anybody who has been into peripherals, addons and flightsims know that all too well.

The post I read stated you loaded the sim, saw a blurred panel and then alt-F4. No mention of a month with issues.

He really should have retested installation time for the sake of the review.

YES! I installed it a day after release and tried it. Spent time with it and concluded that for me, it was not ready for airliners. That's why I asked.

How much time?  A day after release 2024 was in a terrible state.

Not as much as you have. So maybe you can tell me how well the sim is working with airliners?
