Gawd.... I hate talking ads, like to smack the person who came up with the idea. Almost as annoying as TV commercials where the volume is intentionally elevated, for your enjoyment of course.

Do you use Internet Explorer or Firefox? I use Firefox with the "Adblock Plus" and "NoScript" extensions. I have popups disabled, and rarely get any banner ads :) Even Javascript ads can be blocked :D.

I use Firefox, but currently only use pop-up blocker, guess I need to set it up to deal with this.

I've never really understood the logic of irritating advertising. Why would anyone think that I'm going to run out and buy their product after they've just pi**ed me off? Prehaps I'm just too old for the modern world ;-)
