Sorry I know this vaguely asked (memory limitation) but I remember I used a freeware traffic add-on a couple years ago that was excellent but then it started crashing the sim. Does anyone remember what it was called and if it's all working now?

I don't remember any particular AI add-ons that was causing crashes. Certainly none of them do now.

If you want super easy to install but more limited in liveries and models, try FSLTL. For a more fully complete setup, but it takes a lot more time to install, then go with AIG.

I use FSLTL and it's good, though not perfect.

I also tried AIG but the injector doesn't work properly in FS2024: for example planes do not land or land outside of the runway.

As for 2020, both should work.

Oi. I have a few. AIG, FSLTL and FSTraffic. AIG is an excellent offline freeware for planes/liveries. It uses historical flight plans etc but I love it. Its traffic, even at lower settings, can cause more FPS loss however. Even with the airport filtering.

FSLTL is a greet freeware online traffic as well. Nowhere near as many Liveries but is uses current flights. I think there is a delay but whatever. Its nice to have.

FS Traffic is payware that I use on a regular basis. Its historical as well and the airport filter works pretty well. I find the FPS loss is minimal in comparison to other programs but it doesn't have a whole lot of liveries/planes in comparison to AIG. But I use a flightsim.to mod for this and I get more liveries in FSTraffic so I am not affected by this.

Aerosoft SimpleTraffic is out there as well. Don't recommend. Regretting that purchase.

That's an issue with the sim not the injector.

I have used Simple Traffic since it was introduced. Low cost and did exactly what it promised, nothing more, nothing less. Haven't seen anything in regards to 2024 though. I haven't tried to see if it will install in 2024 or not but suspect it probably will not.

I am using the FSLTL injector, with the models of AIG. For me this is a great combination of seeing real-time flights with detailed liveries... In the injector you determine the amount of traffic so it will not overload your system.

Haven't used MSFS 2024 much, waiting for a few Sim Updates to switch I think...

Look for FSLTL and AIG models, install both packages (both are free) and purchase BeyondATC, which simulates comms with ATC and includes AI Traffic injection using the AIG and FSLTL models. That combination is the best choice for me.

FSLTL doesn't bring anything to the table that AIG doesn't already include. You end up with basically 40 gb of duplicates.

People also mentioning FS Traffic as having a smaller performance impact is purely from it injecting far less traffic.

That's not necessarily true. It depends on the amount of AIG liveries/schedules installed. It's always a good practice to check which AIG liveries to install with their schedules, to avoid duplicates with the other packages, either FSLTL of FS Traffic.

The good thing about BeyondATC is that once you have your AI traffic schedules installed, you select the Model Matching priorities. In my case I've selected AIG, then FSLTL and lastly FS Traffic, which I don't have.

I'd like to see that customizable as my custom AI folder has nearly 6000 liveries outside of what AIG includes.

Any experience with FSHud?  Was thinking about giving that a try as I won’t ever use voice commands.
