Starting with the engine turned off

Recommended Posts

Guest dannyboyslim

Hi all,Hopefully a nice easy question from a new FSX'er. How do you start a flight with the engine(s) turned off, so you are able to go through the engine start checklist and do things right? Everytime I start a free flight the engines are already at idle. Many ThanksDan

Here's what I do:Start the free flightShut every thing off (lights, fuel shut-off, avionics, power, etc.)Save the flight (press the ; key) and make it the default flight (check mark at bottom of save flight page)Next time you start Flight Sim and start a flight you'll have a cold dark cockpit.Good Luck,KailFlightSimmer since 1987C2D E6850 3.0GHz 1333FSBXFX Nforce 680i LT SLI2x XFX 8800GT 512MB SLI'd2GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 800MHzCreative SB Audigy2 ZSUltra Xfinity 600W SLI PSUSeagate 320GB 7200RPM 16MB SATA-3GB/S HDWindows XP SP2 / FSX SP2 / FS9 SP1
