High temps in the West!

So I see that it will be in the 90's in Phoenix tomorrow, and a high of 94 by Friday. Being from Las Vegas ours is much the same, but for some reason I feel that March is much to early for these high temps. I seem to remember the end of April and the beginning of May as when we'd get into the 90's and in some cases even the 100's. Anyone else from these areas feel the same way? Also, here in Oklahoma (not my home town) they had a snow storm in November. While I feel that global warming may jsut be a bunch of poop, I have noticed that it seems as though Winter starts earlier every year and Spring begins a bit early.Jeff

While I am not from the US, here in the UK, definatly in the South East, there hasnt really been a winter. We had some snow but now the weather is unusualy warm for this time of year. Infact I am currently out in the garden, typing this whilst keeping an eye on traffic holding for Heathrow. Nice:-hah Dave

I think there has been a gradual shift in weather patterns over the past XX years. In Detroit we have had very little snow accumulation. We had one 6 inch storm on Feb 13th and that has basically been it. A little here and there, but not like 20 years ago when we bought this house. I was always moving snow around! Last winter we purchased a snowblower and used it twice the whole winter and this year only on that one day. I live in Phoenix and although we may get a few days of warm weather, an extended period in the 90's is very rare. Global warming? We were down into the single digits in some places in January, and had icy roads and sidewalks all day long. That's also very rare. The Napa Valley, where I used to live, had five inches of snow in the surrounding hills a couple weeks' back. Extremes in weather tend to be rare until we experience them, but then they just become part of the "I remember when" we bore our kids with :) Last year was unseasonably cool with a few exceptions. Even though the average temp was higher and we touched 120 one or two days, the extremes were rarer.John
