WinWing 737 FMC & PMDG -700 Incompatible

Imponerande arbete.

What code did you find it on?

I'm sure I've read somewhere that there's an active group of genius's that create profiles for Winwing devices so that you can use Mobiflight to get them working. With any luck they'll come through wh

After receiving my PFP today, I am really disappointed to learn of the incompatibility.  The hardware is beautiful, but definitely not a great first purchase impression of WinWing.  It appears that it

No not with Spad. I tried to restart the SimAppPro App. In the Key Binding setting page you can set the Msfs 2020 and FMC simulator. Search in the Cloud for the creator idoleo2001 then it will work perfectly. Regards

So you can use this thing with the b737-700 bbj(or F) without buying spad.next?

Yessss 🙂

Yippee!

I can confirm that after a frustrating wait I've got my FMC working in MSFS2024 Beta 1 with the PMDG737 700 right now. No trickery involved, I started Simapppro and it autoupdated - been a week or two since I last started it. Signed in and selected the sim and my device. I then started up MSFS2024 and selected the pmdg737-700 and spawned on the runway at Leeds Bradford. To my delight the fmc burst into life and it's screen replicates what I see in the sim. Pressing the buttons on the Winwing unit changes the in-sim fmc as you'd expect. Now I have to figure out how an fmc works cos I've never bothered before!

The pmdg 737 is missing a few things in MSFS2024 but it's possible to complete a simple flight without any show stopping issues - or at least none that I've stumbled across. Now to play!

So just to make sure I'm reading this right, you didn't have to do anything with loading the Key Bindings file from ideleo2001 like rom0108 reported above:

" In the Key Binding setting page you can set the Msfs 2020 and FMC simulator. Search in the Cloud for the creator idoleo2001 then it will work perfectly"

Is that right? You just updated the SimAppPro app and the 737-700 worked?

Yes, that's exactly right, no jiggery pokery required at all. I didn't understand what was meant by the reference to ideleo2001 but thankfully I didn't have to do anything else. Been playing with the fmc for past couple of hours and its great, unfortunately I haven't really got my head around it yet!

Thanks guys!

I followed your previous steps last night importing the Key Binding file and managed to get all the PMDG 737's (736, 737, 738, 739) working as well, but thought maybe I got lucky with the Key Binding since I couldn't really figure out how to "Run" that binding once I downloaded it. Sounds like perhaps I should have just tried the different variants after the update first.

Interesting thing is that if you watch the Environment loading steps you still get a red error for the 736, 737, 739, but in spite of the error, everything works in the plane. I did however need to go into the 737_Options.ini for the 736, 737, and 739 and add the [SDK] section to those files before the display would update correctly for the non 738 variants. Maybe if you did a clean install of SimAppPro rather than just an update, it would have added those automatically like it does for the 738. Not sure, but in any case, I got them all working.

Thanks again for posting your results here!

Yeah, I have a hardware mcp and efis so already have the extra lines in the ini file. Others need to check that they are present

Thank you for the reply.

I ended up just going for it last night and got a copy of the Complete Edition. Note for others: it is part of the BETA build and not available through the 14-day trial.

I got it working by following the tutorial for another Boeing FMC they had a youtube tutorial for. The process was the same as you described.

It worked flawlessly on a 3 hour flight with the PMDG 737-700. Impressive work.

I’ve been using the beta as well and have profiles for the 737, 777, and MD-11. Super lucky to have Spad!

Great news on native -700 support…I figured they’d have to get it done eventually.  Does it also work with the -600 and -900?
