The irony is that the new version is not available on the SWS website where I purchased the Kodiak... 🥴

Why do you say? I downloaded from SWS directly.

I'm about 90% sure it's compatible. Discord says so, and even the Kodiak installer asks if you want 20 or 24. I just haven't tried it myself, currently installing.

Well, the installer is dated 08/12/22 on my side

OK, actually only the wheels version has been updated, not the Amphibian version.

For me, yes.  Flying it right now KHIOKLAS.  Everything appears nominal.  Only flakiness I’ve observed is importing FP into G1000 using the built in import.  It kept giving me partial FPs.  Finally used the EFB and it imported just fine.  The G1000 issue seems to be 2024 bug.  Saw same in the DA40-XLS yesterday.

A weekend project to install this and then get rid of 99% of the liveries. Takes forever with this one, there are just so many of them!

My experience flying the Kodiak (wheeled) in MS2024 is its inability to land on , or take off from,  any of the farm fields

near KFNL.  It bounces around like crazy on those scruffy surfaces and flips into a prop strike every time. The IRL Kodiak is well known to handle those situations nicely. I have no complaints in MS2020.

Also, SWS has lost the 4 speed bugs on the G1000 PFD.  Can't get them back.

So, as you all know, planes in MSFS 2024 are now streamed, which means I had no idea the Kodiak got updated... until this morning when I took off and realized I had to fly with a 20-degree left bank just to keep a straight heading.

At first, I thought it was some system failure, but nope—I’ve tried everything, and after this latest update, my Kodiak now insists on flying sideways.

So, does anyone know what I’m suddenly doing wrong after a year of flying this thing normally? Or is this just the devs’ way of introducing "realistic" pilot scoliosis

3rd party aircraft are not streamed, unless you purchased them in the Marketplace... is that where you got your Kodiak?

Check your rudder trim, in my case that was the problem

Are you sure it was updated? My version from the Marketplace stills says version 1.4 when I checked it in My Library after the Marketplace update this afternoon.

You have to adjust the rudder  trim for takeoff and every time you change power settings.

"3rd party aircraft are not streamed, unless you purchased them in the Marketplace... is that where you got your Kodiak?"

Yes Bert, I purchased in the Marketplace

"Check your rudder trim, in my case that was the problem"

Yes edzunu
, this was the issue.

"You have to adjust the rudder  trim for takeoff and every time you change power settings. "

Thanks Bob, looks like cold and dark now starts with trim all to the right

Thanks guys !

I have downloaded the last version from the Simworks website.

But the installer only searches for the 2020 folders - no officiall installation in 2024 possible?
