3D Cockpit Looks Awful

Recommended Posts

I'm new to MS FSX... so forgive what may be a dumb question. I have found that there are two cockpit views -- one that is static (displays primary flight instruments) and one that allows scrolling / turning. This second view is awful.... looks like a smooth, computer generated area of "flat" texture, and has a semi-clean version of key flight instruments. When I look at the screen-shot forums, I see so many fabulous looking interior cockpits. What am I doing wrong?- David----David KohlMS Flight Sim X[/b]iMac runing WinXP Home on Boot Camp[/b]CH Pro Pedals and Yoke USB.

Th defalut AC 3 d pamels are not the best. If you want a descent 3d cockpit you will nee to get some addons, if you want some free stuff try PAD premier aircraft design, their TWOtter isnt too bad

Go to "settings" -"display" and make sure "High-resolution 3_D virtual cockpit" is checked.

Guest Sirocco

The Cessna 172 vc is very well done. In comparison I find the Mooney Bravo vc to be a real disappointment. I tend to avoid it and use the 2D view instead.
