I know that, but you are just confirming what I said. If we want a fully functional AND UPDATABLE TDS GTN  we need to have a Navigraph subscription. So we need to pay the 65 EUR +10 EUR every month.

Hello,

That is correct, a Navigraph subscription is required to have current navdata for the TDS GTNXi Pro. In the past, there have been no PC Trainer products which offered any ability to update the navdata, all users had to pay exorbitant fees of $250 for just one navdata update cycle. Let alone chart updates which care region based and would push the price closer to the thousand dollar mark.

The TDS GTNXi Pro changes everything by finally offering what the users have requested for decades: an updateable navigation data. This has been a massive undertaking on our part and we have finally been able to achieve this and offer a truly complete and accurate solution at a very small fraction of the price. We will stand by our users and be able to provide the best services, in the most realistic GTN Xi integration available for MSFS!

TDS is incredible. I've spent hundreds over the years on add on gps units for sims. The best have been RealityXp and flight 1. I've studied real world manuals from Garmin to test these out.  The

Does the TDS download all recent data, charts and other information from Navigraph when you complete the update cycle or does the TDS require an Internet connection to retrieve some of that information online from Navigraph while using the unit. I’m asking because If you subscribe to Navigraph for one month then cancel your subscription, you could theoretically get a complete updated set of data, maps, charts, etc. for $10 then choose how frequently you want to update after that. I don’t fly airliners or on Vatsim so a monthly subscription is of marginal value. But the option of a one month subscription with data updated annually is appealing.

I do not have a Navigraph subscription nor own the TDS, but I can almost certainly guarantee that a one month subscription of Navigraph will not download all of the maps and charts to your TDS unit after which you can then cancel the Navigraph subscription and you have access to everything in your TDS unit. The data footprint from the charts alone is probably quite a few gigabytes. Those are most likely streamed in on demand.

Can the data component (the AIRAC cycle) be updated during your one month sub and then it stays in your TDS after you have canceled your subscription? I would fathom YES.

But I sincerely doubt you would still have access to every Jeppesen chart on your TDS after you cancel your subscription.

Again, I do not own either of those products, so my assumptions are purely based on logic and as an IT guy and flight simmer.

The Navigraph Navdata is downloaded using the Navigraph Hub and is stored on the user's system. We kindly recommend reviewing the TDS website/ TDS GTNXi Pro user's manual where we describe this process, with screenshots as well as specify the exact file path.
The Navigraph charts are streamed from Navigraph servers when the TDS GTNXi Pro is operation and the Navigraph Hub account linked.P

Please note, that with the TDS GTNXi Pro and Navigraph support we are offering real life (aviation) level of detail to the MSFS users! This is innovation!
