Use F11 for landings, taxi and takeoffs.

Sorry but that wasnt my question.

I was trying to ascertain whether the reports of a poor view were actually due to the sim's  viewpoint being too low or simply that it replicated what irl is a rather poor forward view, especially at roundout and flare (and of course taxiing)

but does anyone know of a way to install an autopilot for this aircraft?

If you find a way, please keep us in the loop.  It is stupid for them not to include one.  SMH.

The view in the 185 does not mirror real life...

irl the view over the coaming really is quite poor unless you are >6'

That’s a good point and it think a lot of dissatisfactions about cockpits are actually just realities. I’m not a big fan of the windshield tint on all Carenado planes and many default ones, but I’m sure many GA planes do have strong tints.

Agreed, the default camera position here is low(but maybe that’s realistic), and too zoomed out / fish-eyed, which happens with a lot of Carenado planes. But with pretty much every flight in every default plane I need to adjust my seating position. I don’t find it too much of a pita, certainly not enough to disable the plane. Kind of feels like a natural part of the flight experience.
