I saw a pic of an A380 at Medellin (SKRG), and that was the same impression I got: not as long as I thought, but very tall-looking. It was painted all white.I guess Airbus is flying them all over the world, to get an idea about how they behave on various approaches. (?)Have you seen the pic of an A380 landing at Reykjavik with a 40 or 50 knot crosswind? As far as i know, Airbus are flying to different airports for "Arport compatability tests." Basically making sure the aircraft can maneuver around the airport, use the gates etc.So far the tests have been successful.Dave

"an A380 landing at Reykjavik" it would have landed at Keflavik - the NATO base and international airport. BIKF about 20 nm from Reykjavik - BIRK - which has a longest runway of 5,122 ft.Keflavik has two runways near 10,000 ft long.I'm sure they will also make a test into Thule Greenland - BGTL - because that is a very important diversion airport for European to US/Canada west coast flights. There are still over a thousand commercial jets each year which stop at Thule for fuel.
