February 24, 20251 yr I know that anybody who has been at this for a while will agree that when MSFS 2020 came out, anybody who remembers planes made out of 12 polygons finally said... "yes, this is what I always dreamed of". For the first time ever, we had a full representation of the world as it exists in real life by default (sure, there was ortho and sat imagery and really good approximations by orbx before), but this was it. This was the holy grail we had all been waiting for. Is there room for improvement? Is everything perfect? Are there head-scratching moments often? Have we had major teething pains in 2020 and now 2024? Any logical analytical person would agree that it is not the end of the rainbow and everything is ponies and unicorns. Still, what we have now is the dream we all lived with for years and years and years. When I put it into that perspective... of what I had, and what I have... well, lets just say that I am happy with our current state of simulation, warts and all. flightsim.to - map
February 4Feb 4 Author So, here we are nearly one year later in February of 2026 since I started this thread. Over the past year I check in and read posts, look at the many fabulous videos, especially about the newest add-ons. I guess you might say that I'm a "vicarious" flightsimmer at this point as I have no plans to ever actually return to MSFS flightsimming on a PC. And no, I will not be utilizing my PS5 for flightsimming. To me, that is not flightsimming, at least not for my money. Once again, thanks to any and all responders to this thread. I love all the posts and wish all of you here at AVSIM the best flightsimming you can ever have. Bye for now! February 4Feb 4 I was not that happy with MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 was nothing but crashes for me until SU4 launched. I have well over 100 hours pretty much nonstop since SU4 dropped, and this sim is rock solid and amazing. Jump in. The water is fine! 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

Rob: BTW, are you having good success lately with the iniBuilds Airbus…especially with their A340 or/and A350? The A340 performs well for me now, but the A350, I am yet to test (again) on a long-haul…it was (last) working fine post-SU4… I’m on Xbox (X). Edited February 4Feb 4 by P_7878

Only have the a350 but haven’t dug into it yet. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
