Nothing to do with being loved and everything to do with time and money.  MSFS isn’t some giant cash cow that many seem to think it is … MJC released for P3D V6 (one of the few).  All developers have an income thresholds, if time vs return on investment doesn’t meet that threshold, then they don’t continue or they wait and see.

My only complaint is that they should as well release it for X-Plane ...

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

Uninstalling since 2012 - MS FLIGHT...

In the flight sim world it is in fact a cash cow

I dislike having to dig for twenty minutes to find the order and remember which email was used in the initial purchase. It's a patch so just release it.

But I do love the aircraft.

I'll disagree, certainly better than prior platforms but not enough to retire early 😉

Agree, patch/update process is less than optimal.  There are plenty of deployment tools out there that can make the process of patching very easy and those tools are cheap to purchase and easy to setup ... I use Advanced Installer Enterprise and configuring updates in app or via a service is very easy.  If $719/yr is hurting ROI, then definitely no cash cows.

Well I don't want to debate.  You said that MSFS is not the cash cow some think it was as if to defend their reason to get to the platform slowly or not at all.  I'm unsure tbh your exact motivation.  My point was simple.  The potential user base is FAR larger for majestic in msfs than other sims.  Yes they have a nice customer base in p3d.  But it is the third most popular home simulator in an already niche market.  Res ipsa Loquitur

Maybe they just don't like having to shoehorn a gns 530 in there. Cos in msfs if no Working Title gns you lose 90% of sales. I'm sure there are others but I only have one ac in msfs that does not have that ap wrecking gns code in there and that's an older version that was patched and wrecked for the above reason.

I'd buy it too if available but only if it was gns free. Not holding my breath.

Bit selective there quoting what I said aren't you?.. leaving out the "I just disagree" bit makes my statement the exact opposite of what it actually was!

What's with the GNS530 stuff None of PMDG's Boeings have it nor does the Fenix and I'm sure plenty of others and their sales are doing fine I believe.

I meant the planes that don't have efb /FMC /Simbrief import options for entire routes. A fuller statement would have said pretty much every plane either has Simbrief or gns automation in some form or other.

The older planes and turbopropliners that used to have unique or bespoke nav systems are rare without a gns in there. I was talking specifically about the q400 which I owned for a short time in p3d. The route input was worth learning and enjoyable. I would love to see it in msfs without a gns 😁

Ah Ok now I understand, I never had an issue with having to program the route in once I'd learned how. as the Q400 flights were quite short it didn't really take that long. Now if you were trying to do it on a long haul that would be a real PITA.
I do miss flying the Q400 and the ATR in MSFS & 2024 is OK but it's no Q400.
I don't think importing flight plans is their concern, I really do think it's a development issue their model runs outside of the sim and so would probably need a complete rewrite to make it work. I honestly don't think it's anything more than that. They have a good following that is still using P3D and if they, like a lot of Dev's are doing this in their spare time then remaking it may just not be possible. But yeah if they do my wallets ready.👍

You’ll never see the high resolution input that MJC Q400 supported in P3D come to MSFS as it’s just not possible with the limited SDK MSFS provide.  I wouldn’t want to fly the MJC Q400 without it … just wouldn’t work well.

How could you possibly know this?

Majestic runs external to the sim.  How do you know this is not possible in msfs?

It's of course possible.  Fenix and others run outside the sim.

Running outside the sim isn’t the issue, sure you can do whatever you want outside the sim (well not really but more), it’s the communications with the sim where the accuracy is lost.  Try it and see for yourself.
