February 27, 20251 yr I have a 2nd monitor, an old hp TFT monitor offered by a friend. I'm using it for all of the ancilliary tasks, like the app I now use to start xp12, Navigraph charts, AsXp... I started the toliss A32N and opened ISCS and clicked the window icon in the top right corner of the popup and then moved the ISCS window to the 2nd monitor... All of a sudden my FPS dropped from a stable 30 towards 15..12... 🥴 Is this an xp12 or a toliss problem? Since this is the first time I'm using a 2nd monitor I wonder if this is a known issue, and would like to understand the cause... February 27, 20251 yr Hello, I made a short test with the Toliss A321. I startet X-plane 12.1.4-r3 with all my Plugin and cannot see an FPS dropp while I'm putting the ISCS-Window an my second Monitor. My Youtube Channel Hardware Intel i7 14700k, Gigabyte Z690 UD, Gigabyte RTX 4070TI Gaming OC, Corsair Vegeance RGB 32GB Kit CL16
February 27, 20251 yr Author Thank you @odi11 for your feedback! Well, it can be due to various circumstances. Yesterday when I started Xp12 it offered an update, which I did run. I also pushed yesterday's update for the Toliss 32N. Anyway, the moment I dragged the ISCS window back inside of the Xp12 display, the frames returned to the normal 30fps... I will also post at the the Toliss Support Forum a the .Org ! [EDIT] Tried with other windowed displays, like even the Map view in xp12, and I get the exact same reduction in FPS, half of my 30 FPS when I drag any windowed display from the xp12 screen to my 2nd monitor, and NO! I do not use Losseless 😁... So, any window from my xp12 session, or even if in the display settings under xp12 's graphics menu I define the 2nd monitor as the Instructor Station, results in FPS dropping from 30 to 15. February 27, 20251 yr Michael Brown of XForcePC published several videos on his YT channel, about FPS impact in X-Plane when multiple screens are used, including some videos dealing with detachable popup windows, I think. He should be the expert on the matter, maybe try to contact him or comment under one of his videos to ask for help. February 28, 20251 yr Author And indeed Marco! Michael talks about it right here: so... as I drag a window into my 2nd monitor in Xp12 while I was at 30 FPS, I will loose 1/3 * 30 = 10 FPS... Well, indeed in my case I am seeing 15 FPS only 😞 probably because although I am not using VSync it somehow follows a "VSync logic" ? February 28, 20251 yr Vsync could be your problem then? Maybe it's forced active in some nVidia setting. Not necessarily the plain V-Sync settings. Maybe it could be forced by some other setting like "adaptive sync", "Frame Rate limiter", etc. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

Will try out a combination of settings and see how it goes, anyway, less than 30 for me is unnaceptable, and more than 30 not feasible with my HW, so, no windows and that's it 🙂 Thanks again for having me pointed the right way 😉 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
