March 1, 20251 yr I have a 23" full HD (1920x1080) 60hz monitor. My GPU is the RTX 3060Ti. Would I benefit from Lossless Scaling? And what setup in terms of base and multiplier would you recommend? Thx for any hints👍 Edited March 1, 20251 yr by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
March 1, 20251 yr Hey Jose, I've been using it with a 3840x2160 UHD monitor, I get nice smooth panning. Give it try, it's cheap compared to everything else. March 1, 20251 yr Yes, you will!!!! I also fly at 1080p with a 3060Ti, and I use it a lot. In fact, I no longer fly without it. I guess your 60 Hz are fixed. If so, you could try 30 native FPS + 2x FG (something similar to what I do), or 20 native FPS + 3x FG (as some other people do). I use RTSS for locking frames, but I don't see a reason not to use the MSFS frame lock in your case. Higher FG factors may result in higher atifacting (which I accept) and higher control lag (which feels uncomfortable to me). With the latest version, you can try even higher FG factors if you wish, until you find the one you like the most. The important thing is to get a solid base framerate, with ultra low frame-time variation. My only concern is flying the Fenix buses in DX12 and bad weather. It's the only time I've managed to max my 3060Ti out. In 2020 I could go DX11 and send the Fenix display processing to the CPU, but I'm not sure about 2024. March 1, 20251 yr Author Thx Luis 👍 I noticed that you mention MSFS in your post, although I'm asking here at the XP forum specifically for use with X-plane 😁 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I tried it with all the sims I have (FS9 to 2024) but never with XP12. I can give it a try with XP11 in Vulkan. March 1, 20251 yr I tried it with XP11 in Vulkan (I understand XP12 is Vulkan only). As long as you don't enable VSync in X-Plane settings, you'll do good. Since I use a 120 Hz monitor, I did 30 FPS native (locked with RTSS) and 4x FG. The frametime graph was a perfect line, but maybe this was since I used a vainilla XP (with objects set to Max, including parked aircraft), no addons at all. That was at default KSEA.
