Where did the RealAir SF260 go ?

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Almost completed my reinstall of FSX including my favourite aircraft...except the RealAir SF260. Flew it in 2004 and FSX and it was one of my favourite models. Found the defunct RealAir site and was able to download the decathalon but no installer for the SF260.

Any info gratefully received

Hi Tim,

One of the original Real Air team, Sean Moloney, is now part of Vertxsim and perhaps it may be worth trying to contact him through that developer to see if he could do anything to help you as the Real Air team were renowned for their helpfulness.

If that fails, I think they produced a boxed edition of the SF260 for FSX. So, if you were willing to pay for it again, you might be lucky enough to find it on sale somewhere like eBay if you keep an eye out for it and, as an FSX product, I can't imagine it would be too expensive.

It was a terrible pity that Real Air closed down - their products were arguably amongst the best general aviation aircraft ever produced for FSX. I still have them all on FSX and particularly fly the Duke and Turbine Duke a lot.

Regards,

Bill

Found this but at that price??  https://www.fs2000.org/csl/sf260/index.htm

Anything else would be an illegal download with possible malware!

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

I have the installer, but of course it needs a RealAir server, that's no longer there.
I also have a backup of the whole aircraft, which seemed like a good idea at the time.
I could share that, given the correct permissions.

There's life in the old dog yet, FSX as well.

Worth it if it works. With classic sim software addons being 'retired' everywhere you can't beat life long access!

I saw a disc version on ebay for cheap but the box looked 100% 'home made' so I won't share the link.

The above one WAS real but is sold now. Shows you can still find it though.
