Well probably the biggest ommission for many is the airports in Tibet and the lack of airports in China. Most AI airline flight plans will not work correctly due to all the mission airports in China. We realize there are source data and political issues. When the CEO of the company I work for flew into Lijiang (ZPLJ) in a company Challenger a few years ago, they had to take military navigator, who collected all the charts after the flight out was complete - and made sure the FMS was erased.Winfried Orthmann and Curt Jardey did some great work adding those airports for FS2004 - but no one has repeated the work for FSX - http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...scen&DLID=77313Other airports which come up frequently are the new airport at Bangkok - VTBS, the two new airport in India - Hyberabad - VOHS and Bangalore - VOBL. A local Thai simmers group did a great Suvarnabhumi airportJan Martin has been in the forefront of developing that one and others - http://de.geocities.com/janswebsites/flightsim/index.htmlBut again - only for FS2004Two new main made island airports in Japan which we look to see are Kobe - RJBE and New Kitakyushu Airport - RJFR. The latter is located about five miles north and slightly east of the airport designated RJFR in FSX. I don't know if the old airport has been closed, or turned into a GA airport.

Are we distinguishing airports from airfields here ?There are a number of unlicensed airfields in Australia that I am missing. For instance:YMIG (Mittagong)(http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/publications/current/ersa/FAC_YMIG_5-Jun-2008.pdf)YMBT (Mount Beauty)(http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/publications/current/ersa/FAC_YMBT_5-Jun-2008.pdf)There are a lot more I must assume. A list of airport/airfields here can be obtained via the following link:http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/public...-Jun-2008&ver=1Cheers,Siggy

I was really surprised that Meigs is gone. Living on the Left Coast, I don't follow much of the eastern news, so it was a surprise to find the legendary Microsoft Flight Simulator airport had been razed. I had to find out using Wiki.I don't think that's quite on the topic at hand, but I wouldn't mind being able to use Meigs Field again. I'm pretty sure someone has resurrected the scenery in the AVSIM library, but I haven't checked for it in a long time. Part and parcel of being on the West Coast, I guess.Jeff ShylukAssistant Managing EditorSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM

>I was really surprised that Meigs is gone.Meigs has been gone for many years now. It's sad, but I've gotten over it......of course my home base is KGYY (Gary-Chicago International Airport) just a few miles east of the old Meigs...IRL I live less than :)

I think the base sim should represent a snapshot of the present day, which means no Meigs Field.Be nice if someone added it after-the-fact though :)RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.16 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT
