Where are the MS2024 Addons?

Featured Replies

22 aircraft in my MSFS2024 Library, only 4 of which are default. I've more than enough.

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

This has been the most disappointing thing for me.  $270 (CDN) and I still can only fly the Fenix and it is still just experimental.  I fly mainly IFLY 737 max and PMDG 737.  So I fly 90% 2020.  By the way ASOBO talked everything should have ported over fine so I bought ahead of time.  And don't get into the scenery addons as some port over okay but others need to be reworked.  Very disappointed and and how long has it been out now??

So, "100% 2024 ready" is basically no payware aircraft that I know of.  Many aircraft work just fine in 2024, but none of them support the walk around feature where you can remove the chocks, etc (you can walk around just fine, just not click anything).  Outside of that, many basically work fine and can be flown in 2024.  Now that the marketplace, most addons are still not showing as 2024, even though they work ok.

Best thing to do is a little digging based on what you own.  Many have support Discords and you can tell the companies that are on top of 2024 and those that aren't pretty easily.

For GA aircraft, I've been flying the COWS DA 40 and 42 a ton.

Flightsimware 414 works great, I believe their other aircraft do as well but don't own them all.

FSReborn has some good 2024 compatible planes as well.

GA stuff usually goes over fairly easily.

I don't use the airliners at all, I know there's lots of SDK and issues for them to work through.

Scenery is all over the place.  You just have to check out each vendor's support site/Discord.

The issue at present is the lack of broad support for 3rd Party add-ons purchased through the MS v2020 Marketplace.

The FSR 500 is an MP-only addon, and last I looked, I couldn't get at it because it's not approved by MS, even tho the dev has repeatedly stated that he submitted a v2024 Compatible build weeks ago.

Same thing with a few Top Mach Studios add-ons like the new T-7A.

BUT, v2024 Compatible add-ons purchased through non-MP stores are obviously available and can be manually installed.

For e.g., I've been spending time in the newly refurbished JF Hawk T1 v2, and it is an absolute delight!

Same with several others like CowanSim helos, et al.

And in truth, because I bought the Aviator Edition, I have more v2024 add-ons than I have time to learn and fly. The MilTech C-17 and Airbus A400 being among my favorites.

P.s., as far as "Native" v2024 add-ons that have had all the NEW v2024 features added, I don't really think it's fair to lay that on the 3rd Party Devs.

Typical MS Marketplace behaviour. They take way too long to approve stuff.

As a beta tester, you will be aware of the pitfalls of releasing products which are
subsequently found to be faulty.
Perhaps you can send in a Zendesk ticket, offering your services to speed things up.

I see that if looking through the products, it does indeed look as if it is only for MSFS 2020, but it seems that there is no provision in the Marketplace to list aircraft that are for both simulators, until you reach the product page, which makes the product list of little practical use.

Because you mentioned it specifically, I searched for it instead and found this:

Why thank you!

I will go and see if I can get to it now. I purchased in v2020 and enjoyed it immensely.

It was available for awhile in v2024, but when the MP got turned on....well, maybe I didn't look hard enough based on the devs post here on avsim...?
