Hi Ryan,An explanation of the significance of each of the numbers listed under contact_points in the Aircraft.cfg file for each aircraft can be found in the FSX SDK. It will tell your that for each contact point there are 16 parameters which describe the behaviour of each point. The one describing the vertical position is number 4 in the list of 16. You'll have to experiment with the numbers, but my guess is that point.0 is the one for the nose gear which looks like it is sinking into the ground in your screenshot. Parameter number 4 is in feet from the reference datum which is probably the CG of the model, with positive numbers going up from this point. The following numbers are from my F-18 aircraft.cfg file and have not been altered in any way:contact_points;Gearpoint.0=1, -18.00, 0.00, -6.60, 1600, 0, 0.6349, 75.0, 0.2000, 3.5, 0.6100, 3.0, 3.0, 0, 0.0, 0.0point.1=1, -35.50, -4.90, -7.40, 1600, 1, 0.6349, 0.0, 0.4000, 2.5, 0.5456, 3.9, 3.9, 2, 0.0, 0.0point.2=1, -35.50, 4.90, -7.40, 1600, 2, 0.6349, 0.0, 0.4000, 2.5, 0.5456, 3.7, 3.7, 3, 0.0, 0.0I hope this helps.Mike.

RyanIf you don't have the SDK loaded you will find that MS places a lot of SDK descriptions right in the aircraft.cfg file.The following is from the stock B747-400 cfg.[contact_points] //0 Class <0=none,1=wheel, 2=scrape, 3=float> //1 Longitudinal Position (feet) //2 Lateral Position (feet) //3 Vertical Position (feet) //4 Impact Damage Threshold (Feet Per Minute) //5 Brake Map (0=None, 1=Left, 2=Right) //6 Wheel Radius (feet) //7 Steer Angle (degrees) //8 Static Compression (feet) (0 if rigid) //9 Max/Static Compression Ratio //10 Damping Ratio (0=Undamped, 1=Critically Damped) //11 Extension Time (seconds) //12 Retraction Time (seconds) //13 Sound Type //14 Airspeed limit for retraction (KIAS) //15 Airspeed that gear gets damage at (KIAS)

There was a file uploaded to the library a while ago that I remember getting which fixed how the Hornet "Sat" on the ground, basically raising the nose gear up a bit.This may or may not fix your problem. I cannot seem to locate the file now, but it should be here assuming it hasn't been pulled.
