Same for me. MSFS update did wipe all my settings.  Looks like this whole task is overwhelming ASOBO.  My feeling is that MSFS 2024 is beyond ASOBO's level of competence.

Twas a bit much to have to develop/sustain/support BOTH sims and this makes me wonder if MS won't just decide it's time to pull the plug on 2024 to cut their losses since its reception is as weak as it is relatively speaking.   I have around 36 or so flights now in 2024 and TBH I'd keep 2020 over 2024 at this point in time.  Yesterday despite a decent flight from KSFO > KDEN in the 787X in 2024 as I got to final approach to Rwy 16L the runway was so blurry and the same thing happened early in New Zealand, whereas in 2020 everything that is supposed to be is always razor sharp here.

I found a Reddit post where someone uploaded the last free version of Macrium to the Internet Archive website. I legally downloaded it from there and been using it since. Look it up and you'll find it.

Ouch, Bert. Yeah, this happened to me a few times to 2024 without any updates. Just starting the sim wiped everything out. Odd that its happening again. Thankfully 2024 doesn't take long to load but losing the settings takes forever...especially when they dont save.

Im paranoid since it happened to me before. I keep all my axis' and buttons as simple as possible until I can trust them again.

Is there a file to save that contains all the controller settings?  Despite not being in the Beta for 2024 I had to reinstall 2024 because a couple days ago when I started 2024 the Premium Deluxe package was no longer installed.  I was super thankful it was only custom camera views that needed to be reset and super thankful again it was only the two planes I'm using that were impacted.   A few other odd changes happened to graphics settings in both 2024 and 2020 as well.  Stranger times w/ MS/A currently...
