Refund of BATC. What a terrible product!

Featured Replies

Hello. I'm here because I purchased the Beyond ATC license a couple of hours ago, but I'm requesting a refund.

I've been encountering terrible nonstop errors: plans disappearing when landing, plans taking off in taxi lines, plans that drop and then ascend again upon takeoff.

In just two hours of use, my 30 euro investment is completely wasted because even the voices have no connection to reality. The ATC in Spanish instead says "time," which is literally read.

The ATC ignores me and doesn't invite me to descend when I'm approaching the TOD, etc., etc.
In short, it's one thing to find an error, and another to be unable to do anything at all. I've also checked this at three airports: GCXO, GCLP, and LEMD. It's the same in all of them.

Please, I'm requesting a refund because this product, despite warning about possible bugs, doesn't comply with any of its requirements.

  • Kind of strange that after BATC was voted best new product in the Navigraph Poll, all of a sudden on the same day two different threads pop up stating BATC is terrible, followed by pro SI comments.  H

thanks for your help.

I have been on BATC web page and also on discord and itsi completely imposible to find a little option where it talks about "refund". Its all designed to tease me to buy...they never say: refunding.

thanks anyway.

What a great product. Did you miss the part when buying it that says Early Access? Do you know what that means? Just beacause you have issues does not = terrible product

im afraid im spanish. i dont know what early acces means. i know that here, in spain, the publicity of batc is very good, thats why i decided to spend my money:)

finally, i have discovered it is a not finished product, like a beta of the beta.. too many mistakes and no immersion. thats my opinion and thats why i would like just to be refund my money.

thanks for understanding.

You shouldn't be afraid to be Spanish :)))

You're quite right though - "Early Access" is a beta (or even beta of a beta) ... except you're paying for it. It's quite a common thing (especially in military sims like DCS World).

It's a shame that you were led to believe that it was a far more "finished" product than it is (at this stage) ... BUT ... I think you should stick with it. Someone here said that it's not that different in quality to "Say Intentions" (the only other real competition) but I can't say - I've never used Say Intentions .. so BATC can't be *that* bad!!!

Although I use  SayIntentions AI (the Entourage product, not the ATC), I think if you are only citing 2 hours of use, this is probably more user error or configuration issues on your side than it is the product.  Just about everyone using the BATC product speaks extremely highly of it.  I would perhaps take some more time to figure it out rather than trash the product on an independent forum only two hours after purchase.

It should be said that many, like me, think Say intentions is several leagues above BATC.

I am sure many like BATC, but I found it to feel very scripted.

Is there any voice communication in real world, that is more scripted (in the sense that it follows a strict regulatory protocol) than ATC? I can't think about any.

I agree. BATC is a very good product and always improving.  I really dislike subject headlines like this. The author needs to research the product and not jump to conclusions after 2 hours.

BTW I'm ex- ATC so I'm well aware of where this program is.

Thanks you all for the kind answers.
i must say that, i had bought FSHUD some time ago. i use it and i really like it. But i bought BATC last night because i had the sensatiom all could be better.

oh no. Nothing worked. Crazy planes moving everywhere except on their raxi lines. And many other things.

i really want a refund snd forget this product.

thsnks.

I think you're in a non lucky week... Beware Mercury is retrograde !!!

Jokes apart, hombre! BATC is a really nice product, and I also use FSHUD, and plan on subscribing SayIntentions...

But, as others have put it, it's "Early Access" = "Accesso Antecipado" !!! so we have to expect quirks...

I have been using it, and it's growing features like AI traffic injection with either FSLTL or AIG models, and overall I am fine and rather satisfied with BATC.

But then, I am Portuguese, ya know, the Sun goes down later for us here 😉
