March 25, 20251 yr Moderator I came across this post on the LM P3D forum. The author is still working on his version based on the Aerosoft Dublin. It looks excellent so far. I’ve asked if it might be compatible with the MK Studios version. Fingers crossed. For personal use only. https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=281239#p281239 Ray (Cheshire, England). March 26, 20251 yr Looks really good! I got the Aerosoft version as I missed the MK studios train and I would love to save myself from having to do the necessary tweaks! i9 14900K / Corsair Nautilus RS ARGB liquid CPU Cooler / MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi / 64GB Trident DDR5 RAM @ 7200 mhz / 24GB Gainward 3090 Geforce RTX / 2 TB SSD WD Black SN850X NVMe / 1 TB SSD Samsung 990 Pro series / 2 TB SSD Samsung 980 Pro Series / 500 gb and 250 gb SSD Samsung Evo 850 / RM1000W Corsair PSU - P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 12, X-Plane 11 and FSX
March 27, 20251 yr Yes, a big improvement. He was very clear that the upgrade was for personal use though, unless he shares some step by step instructions. It might be inspiration for me to finally get my head around ADE 😜 Ian S
March 27, 20251 yr Author Moderator He’s also worked on the MKS version but had some misalignment issues. I’ve asked if I can try it. I’m sure anything will be better than the existing one. It’s clearly skilful work and he is to be applauded. 👏 Ray (Cheshire, England). And if you give Dublin Airport a first look not much has changed but a closer look reveals that the introduction of 10L/28R has changed the taxiways and parking stands quite significantly around the north side of the airport. I was able to do quite a good job with the runway and taxiways but I am lacking knowledge and skills on the art side of the things... So the project was abandoned by me because of lack of knowledge, information on how certain things are done and achieved. Now, I am no developer, nor knowledgeable enough to do this on my own I am just simply a person who can not stand when something is not done properly (call it OCD if you will) and had a very very strong urge to get RWY 10L/28R into P3D. Unfortunately I am mostly on MSFS nowadays and lost interest of continuing any work on it... March 29, 20251 yr Author Moderator @Balint Szarka, you should be congratulated on your efforts. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be. But rather than let your hard work go to waste I’m sure there are plenty of us who would be happy to try what you’ve achieved. There are members here with knowledge. Perhaps they could help. I would like to try it. Perhaps you could zip the work up and provide a link to those requesting it. I’ll be the first. Ray (Cheshire, England). I have just looked on my PC and I think I was so angry for things not working out that I deleted it all... I am sorry I can not help with it anymore 😐 However one thing is for sure, if there was an organized group of people working together I could definitely help out. I am based in DUB in one of the airlines here so I get quite an exposure on how things are here and what's changing. It's quite a construction site these days in the airport. Even the MSFS version is already out of date quite badly because of the works. For example south of Terminal 2 the taxiways have changed to be just T instead of the B1 and Z that used to be there. Also new stands are being created on the north side of Terminal 1 too. So many changes and my OCD mind can't stand how they are not being updated to include those. In MSFS though I have absolutely no clue on how to change things at all. Even the file structure makes me not even want to even have look into. Though if I can be any help, count me in.
