@FSHud

I have a problem with FSHud, which is my fault. I cannot create a support ticket from FSHud Dashboard (as I normally would) as I cannot get in.

* I have gone to discord and messaged directly to FSHud_Admin requesting help.

* I have logged into my web account and requested support via their support link.

FSHud has been very helpful and responsive in the past. I hope he is ok.

I know the issue is my fault, but I still need help.

How long ago was your request for assistance?

They have a presence on AVSIM via @FSHud

The whole thing has gone very quiet.  

It's still the best ATC program out there, but the others are catching up with updates and engagements.  I met SayIntentions at the flight sim show in Lelystad and was impressed enough to become a partner.  Where were BATC and where is FSHud?  

FSHud_Admin posted on discord yesterday. I think he has a day job, possibly in the aviation industry, which may mean he's unavailable for FSHud support questions at times. There also used to be FSHud_Support account on discord, but I don't think he/she has posted for about a month now.

Inconvenient as it is, I don't think we can expect developers to be available for support 24 x 7, especially for small setups like FSHud.

Yea I kind of figured something like that. No problems...anyway, I'm back up and running now. I think, that in my case, it was a 24 hour 'time-out'. Anyway, all's good now.

Just wanted to drop a quick note, that I am very glad to have FSHud back up and running! It is a great program and FSHud has done a great job with this.

Yeah, I really enjoy FSHUD and for a while the updates were quite frequent but lately it's gone awful quiet unfortunately.  If nothing else some of the voice quirks really need to be ironed out.  I mean how can they not be able to say "New" 

Sort of an immersion killer flying into New York.  I don't even know what it is trying to say LOL.  

For me updated voices, enroute TCAS advisories and Oceanic procedures would be great additions.  I mean it does so much right but the voices continue to be a let down 😞  

They don't have that many voice types, fine, the program itself is absolutely superb.

But they could use the voice types far more widely.  For example the whole of Central and South America could have the Spanish or Portuguese accent, and that would cover many dozens of countries, but they sound like they're from the USA.  

Just got into FSHud but have got off to a bad start - it can't pronounce Qantas correctly.  Instead of "Qontas" it comes across as "Qaintas". I am an Aussie so I fly Qantas a lot both in the sim and IRL which is why this is rather annoying. I knew  the voices to be sub par but not this bad.  May be moving to BATC sooner than I was expecting to.

The actual accuracy of the ATC handling is far better than BATC.  If it's any consolation your flights will be better.

The BATC devs are living in the US and in New Zealand, so pretty much as far away from the Netherlands as possible. They much rather keep working than travelling around half the world for a marketing appearance.

As for SI I suppose you didn't meet Brian himself (since he'd also have to come over from the US), but only that local german guy iFred?

No I met Brian, without realizing who it was until I saw him on Youtube yesterday.  

I still think FSHud is the superior product right now, but SI did enough to pique my interest.  I've no interest in chatting with my cabin crew, but if they can provide separated traffic injection, then I'll at least give them a go.  

It'll take a lot to unseat FSHud for me though.

The promise of this is why I decided to give FSHud a go as my first foray in to ATC - then if that didn't work out I would move onto BATC.  Over 25 years I have never used ATC in flight sims because in a past life I worked within the Australian ATC system in a  HR capacity and even wrote a Masters thesis related to ATC.  As a result I have found all ATC  FS addons to be so divorced from reality that I never used them - there were no regional voices (or very limited) and the procedures were wrong.  But times change and we will see if adding ATC to my simming experience works out.
