@Ianrivaldosmith, what would you advise, for use with Lossless, given that I have a non G-Syn or Free-sync monitor, 1920x1080 @60Hz?

I used it by disabling V-Sync, but also never enabled V-Sync in NCP, setting FPS to 30 throught Riva Tuner OR Nvidia Inspector, and then x2 in Lossless, but I wounder if I should do it differently?

For a 60HZ display, I would personally lock my frames to 29 with RTSS, and the use 2X framegen in lossless to take them back up to 58. Gives 2 FPS headroom buffer.

Or

Lock frames to 45, and use adaptive mode to take them to 58 FPS, again giving a 2 FPS buffer at 60HZ.

why not just get 100 fps by using lossless... it works as you can see here, you are  candidate to really boost it

I'm using latest lossless scaling too at my max monitor refresh that is 144hz and wow is like black magic with XP12. My MSFS (ditched FS2024 for now) with the default frame generation and DX12 can't achieve that level of fluidity. Just hope some day this technology may be present in Macs too. Maybe in a not too long future I will just use only Macs and XP and nothing more. I really feel peace of mind with XP.

That’s adaptive mode, it has higher overhead (it’s better with 2 GPU) and more artefacts. I find 2X mode is best, locked at 45 in RTSS and doubled to 90.

@Ianrivaldosmith, I tried your suggestion of setting FPS to 29 through RivaTuner, and then a 2x factor in Lossless, and I confess I do believe Xp12 now performs even better!

The stutters i was reporting when panning around are COMPLETELY GONE !!!

Big KUDOS to your suuggestion !!!

Thanks !!!

I am unfortunately practically flying solo with 2024. I'm in love with x-plane but since the last patches my system is finding it harder and harder to run the simulator smoothly and I'm practically in the same situation as I was with 2020.

My computer is modest 3060ti, 16 GB RAM and 11700F Intel bottleneck is the CPU, I'm going to park it for a while until they get to improve performance, 2024 is a miracle for my modest computer and right now spending money on hardware is impossible for my domestic economy.

Don't worry because FS 2024 is a GREAT simulator too, IMO much more optimized than FS 2020.

I also have a 3060Ti, although I have 32 GB RAM and an AMD 5600x CPU. You could try AMD ? It's a lot cheaper a a much better cost/benefit, at least for CPUs...

Life can sometimes get very complicated and hobbies take a back seat in the end I'm afraid:-) but I'm hopeful that Laminar will sooner or later make progress in multitasking as Asobo has done, and I don't lose faith.

@Aglos77it might be your settings.  I'm running (no smirking) an i5-6600K, MSI 1070 and 32 GB RAM.  When flying GA in XP12 I have absolutely no problem achieving 40 to 60 fps on "High" settings.  Even some at "Max" with particular GA.  I do turn the CPU side down to Medium (Render Distance, Objects and Veggies) when flying stuff like the Q4XP and most payware tubes.  Perhaps "upping" your RAM would be a cost effective solution?  This is with SimHeaven.  No Orthos.  Had a ton of Orthos for XP11 but not feeling the need in XP12.  Just some thoughts...

Solo algunas ideas...

Yes, it is the configuration without any doubt, I have it clear the problem is that in the latest versions of Xplane with the latest changes every time I have to sacrifice more things with the same addon as always and there comes a time that I do not find it comfortable to download so many things used to what I had before.

With some more RAM I may lower the CPU load I don't know but right now I'm like 2020 with the CPU at 99% all the time if I fly in Orbx EGLC with the Orthos also from Orbx my system can barely handle a GA plane like Javier Rollón's SF260 I don't want to imagine how the Q4xP.... would go there.

In the end with 2024 and A2A at the moment in High almost all my GPU and CPU in KLGA for example don't go over 60%.

It's not a goodbye, I like Xp12 much more than MFS but at the moment I feel more comfortable with 2024 for a while that I can fly.

@Aglos77I get that.  I have 2020 with the PDGM 737, C414 and the JF Arrow.  I don't use it much because the FM just doesn't do it for me.  Of course, we all like the streaming ortho, and my system runs it with no issues on "High".   Obviously, I need to update my rig.  Just not going to do that right now with the current pricing and availability of GPU's.

Taking advantage of another sleepless night and that today is a holiday and fasting day hehehe I have used my last bullet I have formatted the computer and I have reinstalled x-plane and 2024. So far the tests I have done on EGLC Orbx, True earth and SF260 are not what I would like but I notice enough improvement to go back to x-plane. I hope it doesn't degrade with new patches because installing everything is quite an arduous task....

All you do is copy whole xplane folder to backup drive. No more installs. Really that simple.

Solo tienes que copiar toda la carpeta de xplane a la unidad de respaldo. Se acabaron las instalaciones. Así de simple.

Such an extreme measure as formatting is to do clean installations of everything.

I really like how easy it is to maintain xplane 12 and have extra copies for clean & beta.  Installation of addons (99.8% of them anyway) are just drag and drop, so to speak.  Could not be any easier to do and to maintain.  Makes troubleshooting a breeze, too!
