Greenland – West Coast

Departing from Qaarsut (BGUQ) on the northeastern shore of the Nuussuaq Peninsula we make our way southward landing at small communities on the rugged and largely empty western coast of Greenland and finish at the capital city of Nuuk (BGGH).  We will depart in the early morning in the soft light of the rising sun.   

The route is 550 miles in length which will require an aircraft capable of 250knts and able to land on short runways.  I will be flying the Flyingiron P-38L in the Glacier Girl livery (which was restored to flying condition after being buried beneath the Greenland ice sheet for over 50 years).  The current version of the FlyingIron P-38L is 1.1.2 and is compatible with MSFS2020 and MSFS2024, however not all 2020 paints will work in 2024.

Optional  Freeware Airports 

These airports were designed for MSFS2020 and are more appropriate than the MSFS2024 default but there are some mesh anomalies.  The runways and ramps have been flattened which cause them to be on a slight plateau.  They will work but be careful not to taxi off the edge.
