FS24 isn't doing well on Steam. Neither is FS20.

The Cornwall coast looks pretty good to me in MSFS 2020.

Maybe I exaggerated a little for dramatic effect. But I don't think the cliffs at Newquay look very impressive in 2020.

Er, people who are interested in flight simulation and the prospect of continued support for our hobby down the years? As usual it will probably turn into another miserable MSFS 2020 vs MSFS 2024

This is why I don't really use it. Who cares if the physics and ground are so good, when objects are popping in front of you? Or melted buildings and blobs of trees are surrounding an airport. You can

Xp snobbery??
too much context missing.

I'm certain this has to do with performance as it does in 2020 and 2024--they can't do any better than they currently do and from what I saw it's well behind 2024.

Funny  thing is that on the official MSFS-forum there is a thread going on about clouds and a majority of users seem to prefer the « terrible and blurry » clouds of XP over both 2020 and 2024. And they are literally annoyed that Asobo didn’t catch up. Again, thats just what other are saying. And I have seen some primarly MSFS oriented users switching to XP because of that (seen on facebook-groups and other chanels). Just saying. But you are of course entitled to your opinion.

I challenged you to show just ONE video that would make the case and no response, and no wonder.  Go ahead, find one and rather than talk about this SHOW it.

Hahaha why would I? I couldn’t care less what you use Noel.

Just ignore him, he normally turns it in to my sim is better than your sim rubbish because he can’t handle a difference of opinion. He also lives in cloud cuckoo land if he thinks msfs has no pop in of scenery.

Learn where to draw the line Noel. Last I’ll say to you on this matter.

On one hand, I am shocked, SHOCKED that as the weather gets nicer both sims see a decrease in use.

Len, stop.  Draw a line.

Goran, stop, get a grip, try and stick to talking about MSFS (or flight sims at the very least) rather than weird diatrebes about who you would or not have beers with 🤣

And because YOU have pop-in you assume all others do as well.  Maybe it's bandwidth and streaming content density related, but no I don't have pop-in of scenery of any significance.

Thanks for the link I see some good stuff there for sure, some remarkable cloud definition in spots.  I also see a lot of excellent weather/cloud depiction in 2024 currently and in that same thread we had this absolute nonsense posted as an example of 2024 in this guy's posted shot:

Mostly what I get out of these images is that it's possible to create more distinct cloud definition w/ the current voxel based rendering.  Hopefully MS/A will take a close look and I'm certain they would have to be right about now.

What's wrong with you, Len?  Accept the fact that your opinion isn't the be all and end all.  That it's just another opinion among the thousands of others, with equal value.  Accept the fact that people will disagree with you.  Practise humility.

Know when to stop.  Seriously, it's people like you that perpetuate the toxicity among folks who just want to enjoy flight simming, without being married to it.

What's wrong with you, Goran? Why do you keep digressing into these who's right who's wrong and personal character analysis sidetracking?

And please stop making up stuff, nowhere did I say my opinion is the be all and end all. We're not even discussing opinions. You claimed certain things, like Biology helping MS/Asobo with clouds.. that was wrong. Then you claimed 2024's lighting is not physics based, where is your evidence? (It is photometric, quite physics based I'd say).

Rather ironic you mention toxicity, look in the mirror :)
