Sometimes I'll stick with the same plane/car for awhile and quite often return to my favourites, I'm never tied down to just one or two, there's so much choice that I like to try them all. I may never become a master of any of them, but that doesn't bother me as long as I'm having fun in whatever I jump in too. Given that I have no interest in piloting any of them anyway, but I have always been a bit of a wingnut and love seeing all sorts of aircraft flying around. Flightsim is all about exploring the landscape for me, so if I feel like hedge-hopping in a 737 I can and will do so, to my great delight. And having everything from the Cub to the Raptor just adds to the joy. I personally don't want to learn anything about flying, (some) boys just wanna have fun! April 17, 20251 yr I selected the second option. Even though the vast majority of my flights are done in the PMDG 737-600, I do fly the PMDG 777F now and again. I also have the JustFlight Avro RJ Professional, but all flights in that are on hold until the developer resolves the serious "pitching up and down" problem that I have during descent. I am the opposite, apart from the having fun part, haha! I can't stand it if a cockpit has a knob of which I don't know the function... I spend hours and hours watiching video's explaining every knob and switch and screen and option of the Airbus 320. Loved it. In my P3D days I only flew the (Majestic) Dash 8 and one of the reasons I loved it was that I was able to learn about the function of absolutely everything. The Airbus really stretched my limits and I don't think I acually learned everything about it. Life is soooooooo much easier and relaxed with the Vision Jet, hahaha! No real trouble mastering that plane! 🙂

Right now that's the COWS Da40. Of course I'll bounce around to others. Right now I'm about at that point. I fly six aircraft in order of increasing speed… Vertx DA-62 Carenado PC12 Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25 PMDG 737-800/900 PMDG 777-200 / 300ER FS Labs Concorde. Only six and I swap around fairly frequently to keep my mind sharp. If you fly only the one you get so used to it you hardly need to think how to start it up and fly it. When you get older it’s important to keep out of your comfort zone. 👍 Ray (Cheshire, England). April 17, 20251 yr I wish I could be able to be happy with just 2 or 3 planes. Counting by ICAO codes, In only MSFS I fly 23 different airliners (including the default 747 and 787 and the iniBuilds A310 and A320Neo), and 3-6 GA planes (Comanche included). Counting as addon familes, I could reduce it to 13 different airliners. That's not including planes that I seldom fly... and somehow I still want more. Don't ask me how many I have for P3D or FS9🙈 How do you manage to stay with few planes? According to the 3rd Party Devs, it seems like most P3D simmers have moved to MSFS, and since people's habits tend to be consistent, it seems reasonable that the trend in MSFS might be representative of P3D D as well. April 17, 20251 yr I tend to stay with a type for a few months then move to another. Right now I’m all crj. But also bounce around between a300, md-80, fenix series, pmdg 737s, ifly max, 777.
