Hi Hervé, A reduction is to be expected. We’re probably down to a hard core now who will still fly P3D even if they switch over to 2024 occasionally which might or might not be replaced by 2028.

I don´t care about Navigraph Survey, for me P3D is very much alive and it will continue to be on my PC, as well as on several others such as FS2004, FS98. I don't need new addons for P3D, I alrea

P3D from third party developers point of view have certainly reached the end of life - I have not seen any new products or updates from any developers in the last few months/years. Many top developers have stopped providing technical support too for their existing P3D products. But that does not mean all users have abandoned the sim completely, Myself I use both P3D and MSFS 2020/2024 regularly and alternate flying between these platforms. Certainly the user base is not as many as it used to be few years back but still people do use it.

From LM point of view - It isn't like Asobo/MS where their only customer base is from Entertainment/Xbox, LM's commercial customers keeps the development of P3D going and it is likely we will see a new version of P3D (P3D V7 perhaps) at some point. But for us (simmers) - lack of support from third party developers renders new sim completely unusable,  Partially the reason why I never bothered with P3D V6.

Old p3d flier but never got v6 because my pmdg 747 won't fly in v6.

P3d is clearly dead.   Also, the grafix are hideous compared to msfs, can't deal.

Waiting desperately for pmdg to bring me my 747 in 2024.

Certainly not dead.

Maybe on its last legs, as far as individuals go

Hideous? Really?  Methinks you exaggerate a little bit to make your point.

Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Win 10 Home. 500g Samsung 960 as Windows home. 1 Gb Mushkin SSD for P3D. GTX 1080 8gb.

If it can still be purchased then how is it dead? It’s still in use by many who use it for some aircraft that aren’t available in MSFS. Plus there are tools such as AFD that allow for AFCAD editing which don’t exist in MSFS. The back catalogue is huge and new airports are still being created.

When you’re above FL300 flying long routes the view of the ground is neutralised to a great degree. And if it’s cloudy there’s no view at all.

Dead is in the eye of the beholder, I say.  If you are not using it, it may be dead to you and most of the simmers here.  But to the commercial aviation industry it is quite active.  I know because we design scenery for such clients as the US Forest Service and the US Air Force to name a few.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

And are selling some of your scenery to "Prepar3D® v6 Personal" users ?

Because P3DV6 is not dead for me, it is even my only sim at this time 🙂

I enjoy a nice scenery even at FL 800 🙂

You're right, it's a nice view even at FL350

Sorry Ray, I am under an NDA, but that's in MSFS 2024 with default scenery. And I am sure that, with your experience on the Concorde, you will love the plane when it becomes available 🙂

Concorde’s ceiling was FL600. I guess you’re using a military aircraft. I’ve had the FSL Concorde for two years. No indication when it will arrive for MSFS.

I won’t be buying that sim.

1) Affirmative

2) I had the impression you flew the Concorde for a longer time. I had the FSL Concorde for FSX, but I haven't flown it for over 10 years now.

I have been flying Concorde for over 15 years. There’s a 64-bit version now with no memory issues. Running at 3840*3160 is superb. Your military aircraft might go higher but the inflight service is non-existent. 😁

No gaab, we are not selling our scenery on the retail market.   There just isn't enough simmer's interest in purchasing to make it worthwhile.
