Didn't they just release a city update for both sims? When I look into your post history, I seriously think you need to touch some grass.

Welcome to the cruel reality.

as Ive said for 10 years plus, as consumers we welcomed, embraced and asked for unfinished shoddy products by giving them your money and them flaming anyone that critised it.

you reap what you sow.  As ive always said, the Devs will respond to what the community wants and ultimatley pays for.

A good example is how the community is quite happy to pay for junk is "just flight traffic", even though the data is now 3 years old and not a sniff of an update. no-ones turned round and said "actually hold on a sec, weve been done here, wheres the proper update?"

Instead they are happy with a few added repaints and couple of icao changes, something a 12 year old could of done.   Its speaks volumes of the community in general,  we will just accept any old tat, and just flight for example here have delivered.

Same as Inibuilds, orbxs, aerosoft and asabo.  Who can blame them.

Yup. People have been asking for improved ATC (A fundamental part of flying, you'd think a flightsim would nail this first, or at least make it semi-respectable) and AI for years, amongst other things, and it landed on deaf ears. Seems to be just forgotten now. They even released a new sim without a whiff of improvement, in fact it got worse.

What is the 'track' of this thread exactly? Another general whinge about Asobo and the perceived lack of support for MSFS2020 and or MSFS2024? Close it down and the same thread with a different name will appear tomorrow so it really makes no difference.

This thread is a lot more amusing when read to the tune of Twisted Sister's "We're not gonna take it."

Well I tend to agree with you but I don't see a reason to lock this thread. This thread may be in some silly and a way nonsense as I would call it but if people are too offensive to it, should just stay away. They add fuel to fire. I just want  to know 1 thing here and that is did the OP crossed the line here or is he or she is just a nuisance to this community and people calling for  him/her to be gone? Sensitive folks need to stay away. Greazer  did no wrong IMO.

History always repeat. We had this same debate with FS9, then FSX, P3D, msfs and now msfs24.

Now that P3D is history, the war switched to a msfs vs msfs24 battle!

What is funny is that Sim X users bash the X+1 sim then a few years later, then adopted X+1 sim but start to bash the recent X+2 sim.

msfs works well for most of us, it still work today and it will propably still work in the future. But it's not the future!

Devs need to see the forecast way in advance and I can clearly understand that they have to focus toward this new sim because, even if some don't want ot admit, this is the sim msfs users will use the most in the future.

Yes it has a rough start, it wans't ready at launch time, nobody deny that. But better days are ahead of us.

But guess what, we will have the same debate over and over when msfs28 or msfs29 will be launched.

MSFS2028 is much better than 2024. There, I said it first.

When that happens of course all those who currently need smelling salts at the mere thought of MSFS2024 will hold it aloft as the best sim of all time. The whole circus is so predictable. And amusing. Up to a point but then it gets tedious. We reached that point some time ago.

Its not about what people want, its about money, and how to make it without putting in alot of time or effort.

The track of the thread is to bash MS/A in every way possible, that's all.  They're not going to pay any attention to this thread, so it's really pointless bashing unless your real agenda is to garner support to denigrate any form of MSFS to pull users out of it.  What's conspicuous is that tens of thousands of users use 2020 regularly, roughly 10x more than the closest rival as a crude guestimate, and as was put by you know who the reason is simple:  It. Just. Works.  5-6K hours myself and nary an issue, truly.  Over these 4+ years 3rd party addons brought in very good ATC options for exceedingly modest cost.  If I were MS/A, I too would deprioritize ATC as well largely because of that.  Perhaps if n when they get around to it for 2024 they will incorporate LLM and at least much better voices and tighten up some basics.  If they don't, not a big deal because there are dedicated good options that already work well in 2024, and most 'advanced' users will opt into one of those or Vatsim most likely anyway.  Despite the fact one of the people in this thread accused users of 2024 as 'getting off on lying'...that 2024 works great for them it's apparently way fine here call others 'liars' but whatever you do even if it's accurate, no can tag someone as 'trolling'.  Dropping into this forum regularly with new threads and repeatedly bashing the sim and its developer the forum represents is somehow not considered trolling.  Oh well.

How do you know that? You don't.

Also why are you referencing people like:- 'you know who' or 'the fact one of the people in this thread' now?

And why are you still making a lot of assumptions? ATC is a wreck. I would love for someone who flies airliners ( Which apparently most of you do according to navigraph ) to tell me that it works fine. MSFS2024 ATC is summed up by one key phrase 'Easy HEAVY'. ( For those who don't get that, Easyjet is the UK's largest airline, however owns NO heavy aircraft. They fly mainly small-mid range, not long haul). Your suggestion is to purchase a 3rd party addon right? So, spend money to make the base sim just work? And these same poeple complain about having to buy scenery for 12.2 🤦‍♂️

Neither of us KNOWS, of course--that is my opinion, MS/A will pay zero attention to this thread.  What, making a lot of assumptions?  About what are you talking about?  I never said ATC was even half good.  You know full well what I said about ATC in the post I just made.  Yes my suggestion for those interested in using ATC is to look at BATC, FSHud, SayIntentions, Vatsim, etc.  Perhaps someday in the future default will be good enough, if not, no big deal.   You've decided ATC is part of a 'base sim'.  ATC is a big enough issue to consider outsourcing by 3rd parties--just like your scenery for 12.2 is, right?  Of course.

So this isnt pointless then is it? Of course it could be done in a more constructive manner, but of course frustration takes over. I wonder why?

Exactly, so when people baulk at having to purchase scenery in 12.2, to bring it up to standard, I just do not get it. Theyre happy to do that with ATC and AI traffic and airports in MSFS. Make it make sense.
