Thank you for he Heads Up, I just ordered it. From what I can gather it will work on the PC Windows as well as the XBox. hopefully that is so. I'm in the process gathering parts to build a new PC for the Flight sim.

So this will work out great for me.

I have MSFS 2020 for Steam. Will I be able to transfer or use my aircraft and scenery purchases for MSFS 2020 from 3rd party dev website and the MSFS 2020 Marketplace in this Steel Book version?

HI Matt please double check this info at least from what I have read I could be wrong since I havent personally had to do it.

If you own MSFS 2020 on Steam, your Marketplace purchases are actually tied to your Xbox Live account, not the platform itself. That means if you buy MSFS 2024 through the Microsoft Store (like the SteelBook version), you can still access your Marketplace contentas long as you're using the same Xbox/Microsoft account you used in MSFS 2020.

🛠️ As for third-party purchases from sites like PMDG, Just Flight, or Flightbeam, you can manually reinstall those into your Community folder in MSFS 2024 — they aren’t locked to Steam or MS Store.

🔁 So yes, it’s totally possible to move between Steam and Microsoft Store and keep your purchases if you stick with the same account. Just keep in mind you’ll need to manually set up your add-ons again if you switch platforms.

Thank you for this. It was still available and I purchased it 5/25/25, a palindrome day (which happens only once every 100 years 🙂 )

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).
