Just Flight Turbo Arrow and Warrior coming to MSFS2024

Featured Replies

Just taken the new version of the non-turbo Arrow III out for a short flight in FS2020, and the flight model has definitely been worked on. The pitch sensitivity is much improved, and very easy to trim out for level flight now. You also get your money's worth out of your rudder pedals in the turn. Ground handling is much better, particularly on take off.  Once my borked MS2024 installation is fixed, I'll try the Arrow out there, but for now a big 'Well Done' to JF.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Hi all. We were aiming to release updates today but have decided to postpone until tomorrow to give us more time for installer and testing work. Coming tomorrow (PA28 Arrow III v11.1, Turbo Arrow

  • There’s ANOTHER forum? 😯

  • Please disregard my previous remarks about the trim, as it was was only me seeing an issue it was obvious the fault was at my end. I’ve successfully found the issue and now I’m ops normal and out flyi

Super happy my Piper Cherokees are now out for MSFS2024. Wondering if anyone else encountered getting the PMS50 GTN750 to appear on the panel. I selected it in the EFB, and the panel resized to accomodate it, but the screen remained black/off. Not sure I missed doing something. Occurs on all  three of the planes (Warrior, Arrow III, Turbo Arrows).

Thanks

It’s working for me.

I installed the new version for ms2024 but I'm not seeing the aircraft in the sim?

I have looked into the packages and it's not there. Was there a problem with the 2024 installer?

I get the same issue, the problem is the brightness, but can't get it to work, it skips from off to on...

Do you mean that the radio lights rocker switch skips? You're correct that it controls the brightness of the GTN screens. The first notch controls the navigation lights and then the remaining notches control the radio lights and GTN screen brightness between 0 and 100%.

Does it make any difference if you use legacy rather than lock interaction mode?

Can you also check if you have any controls assigned to the navigation lights as that might be forcing the combined navigation/radio light rocker switch back to the first 'notch'.

I took the Turbo Arrow III out for awhile and did quite a few very short hops between airfields.

Flight model definitely improved (a LOT). That was my major gripe with the original version... 👍

I flew it back to back with the A2A Comanche, and I gotta say, so far it holds up well!

We had IRL high & gusty winds here today, and there was what seemed to be some over sensitive ballooning while on short final with half flaps.

Maybe I had too much flaps in for the winds, but the Arrows response was drastic and quite disconcerting.

I'll try SoCal next flight as it's almost always 72 & Sunny with light winds, and see how it handles there.

One other contrast I noticed was that the Comanche needs very little rudder, while the Arrow needs a TON.

I'm not sure either one is correct, TBH...

Anyone else notice anything similar...?

Anyhow, it's GREAT to have the Arrow back in MSFS with such noticeable improvements to the flight model.

I had only been flying them in XP with REP for the last couple years, and this new version for MSFS seems good enough on first pass that I want to give it more time.

After the crazy good Hawk v2, this is yet another very pleasant experience 😁

ETA: re the flaps and rudder, gonna do a comparo with JF Arrow in XP, with and without REP, and see how that goes. Never had that flaps ballooning thing with their Arrow before...

The Warrior never felt right to me in MSFS2020 so I never bothered with the other variants.

Just taken the new model around the circuit at Manchester Barton and memories came flooding back ; this one is right.

Yes, the rocker switch skips and keep turning on and off the GTN, but it remains off. I tried both (legacy and lock) with same results.

thanks

Yes, that worked. had to unassigned nav lights on and off from my Bravo Quadrant. now it's working. but not the nav lights switch of my bravo.

I owned and operated a Cherokee 180, this may be slightly less power, but I agree the Warrior feels like the real thing... well, as close as you might get to that in a sim 🙂 I'm REALLY happy with this upgrade, so much so that I'm going to add the Arrow bundle. Oh, and I'm not sure if anyone has pointed it out, but it has simbrief integration via the EFB, VERY Nice JF, Thank you!!!

I’ve got very little pitch down authority with the warrior, as in yoke fully forward with full  or near full power and the aircraft still sits in a climb or level flight.

The yoke visual model appears fully forward so it’s not a controller set up issue as far as I can tell, aircraft CorG within limits, and trim in a sensible position, no where near full nose up.

Anyone else seeing anything like that?

Nothing like that for me in my flights last night.
