Justflight RJ Professional MSFS - Is it worth it?

Featured Replies

I've been waiting for what seems forever, for Justflight to release the Fokker 70/100 in MSFS. As an interim I'm thinking of buying the RJ series Professional. The reviews and videos seem to consider it an excellent aircraft in the Sim. I have the BAE146 version but am not overly happy with it. Do those of you who have the RJ consider it to be a worthwhile purchase for MSFS 2020/2024? Opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

It probably won't happen. Martyn (Was it him?) basically said when they added it to the B146 they saw very very little uptake on using those features so didn't think it was worthwhile to do the same f

As @xender says, what don't you like about the 146?  The RJ has more automation and I would recommend it to anyone, as I would the 146.

To me, its a masterpiece, but i also think the same about the 146. Why don’t you like the 146?

Can't nail it down exactly, just find it doesn't do anything for me, lacking automation with throttles and VNAV might contribute to it but just doesn't appeal to me.

Makes sense. Some people don't like to fly and prefer it to be fully automatic with no user input

The RJs are amazing mate.  JF have done a great job and flying them in MSFS2024 is perfection.

Enjoy.

I'm almost convinced to buy...does it come with a Freighter variant or is their a Mod available.

No freighter in the purchase package as I do not believe there were ever any freighter variants in real life.  Don't know whether there's a mod available.  As for the aircraft itself, I consider it one of the best available for MSFS 2024 right now and is all I fly.  It has a much higher degree of automation than the 146, yet it's still a plane you fly.

Its easily one of the best "vintage" jets in either of the MS sims right now. Easily. 4 engines, mostly manual, hardly anything automated.

Perfect flight sim plane. Unless you love to just dump everything from simbrief into the cdu just have it fly itself. Thats boring.

It puzzles me why many of you are supposedly not experiencing the "pitch oscillation" problem during descent and final approach in the RJ Professional. JustFlight have confirmed that it is an issue, but they have not yet released a fix. Until that day, it remains in my MSFS 2020 hangar.

I bought it and the Fokker in the Easter sale at Just Flight. Both are excellent and no issues with either. I'd probably recommend the RJ if I had to pick just one.
