Aircraft Systems Failing for No Reason

Hi all,I recently downloaded the Singapore 777-300 and Delta 767-400ER from Simviation yesterday. While flying, the aircraft autopilot decides to face straight up, resulting in stalls and crashes. Also, the altitude selector and VSI selectors have wrong readings, for example if I set it to 1500 feet, it will descend way below and crash. While about to crash, I set the altitude to one that the A/P thinks higher, but the plane starts pitching up very slowly...too slowly all too often.I noticed the PFD and all altitude, speed, and heading gauges were not moving as though they had failed. I've checked my Failures and all, but everything seems to be fine.Any ideas?Thanks.

It's getting more serious now. Every POSKY plane downloaded here (http://simviation.com/simviation/?ID=60&page=1000) is doing this, and I get a fatal error everytime right after takeoff. The airspeed and altitude gauges; digital and backup; are just not moving! I really need help! It's pretty upsetting to not be able to fly any other jets besides the 737, 747, and A321.Thanks!PS, I will download AirEd and see if I can do anything that way.

Who's 777 did you download and did it come with a panel & gauges? Just a guess, but you may have unknowingly install a module that is affecting your 777 & 767. It could be related to the panels you're using.I had something similar happen a few years ago with a download with an *.exe file installer. I had to find the files installed by "date created", deleted them all and everything was back to normal.Good luck with it.--Ray

Been there and Done that...I avoid freeware at all costs.....If I use one i test all aspects of the game and planes after I install.....If something is funky I delete the plane and clean the registry..OH..I also back up all my FSX before hand for comparison .....

It was a Meljet 777 and it was a manual install. Its panel was aliased to the default 737-800's. I downloaded a new soundset for it though. Could this be the problem? I did the same for a POSKY A330 but it's not giving me any trouble.Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't the MelJet 777 for FS9?If so, it could be the autopilot settings in the aircraft.cfg and using the FSX 737-800 panel. You might try copying the autopilot section from the 737-800 aircraft.cfg and replacing the one in the MelJet 777 aircraft.cfg. Backup the original just in case of an oops!!--Ray

Here is a screenshot of the problem. You can see that both the regular airspeed indicator and the ShiftZ indicator have frozen at 186 kts, but the GPS is telling the truth. The altitude indicator on the plane is frozen, causing the A/P to pitch down suddenly. The A/T put the plane at idle, nearly stalling it. It's happening with every add-on plane now at take-off or landing. This is a Posky 737-700, using the new FSX model update. I'm still testing it out with the A/P lines in the cfg...will let you know how it goes.UPDATE: The A/P lines in the cfg seemed to do it...except in cruise, the plane rolls up and down like a boat in rough water. :-lol LOL, how can I fix that?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/190848.jpgThanks!

Just a wild guess, and I didn't fly heavies for a long time: do you have pitot heat on? Pitot yes, deicing no. Could this be it?

Just an update, the Autopilot CFG change seemed to do it, as well as the de-icing and pitot heating. At least for the 767, but the 777 and 737NG still rolls up and down like crazy. It might be happening to the 767 as well, will let know if it does.
