No discount for MSFS 2024 if you have already purchased the MSFS 2024 777-200ER version?

Why would you expect that - it's a standalone product?

Instant CTD in SU3 Beta, just to let you know. No complaint, beta is beta

  • No thank you I have already bought two 777's for MSFS2024 from PMDG 🤑💰💸 It is like buying the same plane over and over again....................

  • Yes, I am allways tempted too to buy extra planes but can also just fly the passenger variant and imagine I am flying the freighter 🤣

I thought it was a 777 variant.

Do you know what liveries come with it??

PMDG doesn't do discounts like that. It is slightly cheaper than the other variants though.

It doesn't come with any liveries, you have to download them via the Operations Center. They have a ton of operators though

Most major airlines that use the 777F I think - Emirates, Fedex, Etihad, DHL - lots.

I mean sure, in a very literal sense you are right. But if you take a step back and look at the bigger picture they are the same plane basically - from an add-on point of view. It would have been fairer to offer even just a small discount to existing customers. Hey if you bought one variant, here's 10% off. That would have been lovely. Heck, JF releases an entire family of F28 and 146 - they don't charge you $40 per individual plane.

I say this as someone who has bought both the 777F and 777W, and hell, I'll probably even get the 772 just to complete the range. And I bought all the 737s too. I just hate how it feels like PMDG are exploiting my compulsive need to collect things rather than rewarding me for being a loyal customer. Something to bring up with my therapist I guess.

I'm just waiting for the -300 for 2024, which I understand I'm still entitled to as part of my 2020 purchase. Then I'm happy.

Max

I wonder if it would actually boost sales.

I bought the 738, but I'd only buy the 700 if it was discounted as you can hardly tell the difference in the cockpit.

PMDG 777F Available in MSFS 2024:
We have just made the PMDG 777F available for you in MSFS 2024.
- If you are a PMDG.com customer and own the 777F/20- simply run the PMDG Operations Center and you'll find the 777F/24 available for you.
- If you are ready to become a freight dog, head over to PMDG.com and a single purchase will give you 777F on both platforms.
- If you are an MS Marketplace customer- we are submitting 777F to them today for both 2020 and 2024. We'll keep you posted on schedule expectations.

IMPORTANT: There seems to be some confusion- so I want to make this REALLY clear: A single purchase of any of our 777 MSFS products gives you the product in both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024- so please don't repurchase by accident if you already own it!

PMDG 777F Updated in MSFS 2020:
Those users in MSFS 2020 who purchased the 777F from PMDG.com will see a new update available in the Operations Center. This will bring in all of the non-2024 specific changes that have been made to the product since it was last updated to build 2.0.61 earlier this year.

PMDG 777-200ER for MSFS 2024:
We updated the 777-200ER to make it SU2 compliant, and this update is now available for you via the PMDG Operations Center. This will bring you up to build 2.4.108.

PMDG 777-200ER for MSFS 2020:
MSFS 2020 customers flying the 777-200ER will find an update that rolls in all of the non-2024 changes to the 200ER.

Quote from Chris Makris on the PMDG forum:

We are receiving some reports that the 777 CTD with Beta3 on MSFS2024.

Please note that if using Beta versions of MSFS2024 we can not provide any support as they tend to break a lot of working products before getting stable. Especially at the initial stages

So do not expect PMDG to make it compatible with SU3 before the official release.

the 777 cabin lighting is still broken in msfs2020, dx12.. clearing shaders cache wont fix the bug.. disappointing they still didnt fix this for many months.. have raised a ticket..

why? 😆

it's a beta, no-one is obliged to fix anything

the beta purpose is testing updates to the core platform, they will not be diverting beta development resource to work on addon compatibility

Concur.

Had a look, but CTD when I tried to load latest MSFS 2024 version of the 777-200ER.

By not opting out of the SU2 Beta I have been auto carried into the SU3 Beta & actually I'm not sure how to get back to SU2.

Anyway, I hope this SU3 Beta/777 impasse can be speedily resolved.
