Can't use DDU as safe mode unavailable Windows 11

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I wanted to go back to a previous NVidia driver but I can't use DDU any more because Windows 11 won't let you boot in safe mode because the Windows PIN doesn't work. I've tried removing the PIN but it just tells you to make one, and it then fails. There is actually no way in Windows 11 currently to boot in safe mode.

Is there any workaround or way of uninstalling/reinstalling without DDU?

A

try going to settings/accounts/sign-in options/pin-windows hello,

then select remove this option, to use account password.

If that don't work you can Google "windows pin not working".

Good Luck.

You can still use DDU in Normal Mode. Safe mode is the recommended mode, but it's not strictly required for DDU to do its job.
