It's confusing. Go to the TDS website and log in to your account. There you will see the TDS pro upgrade and beneath it the TDS manager. Click only on the TDS manager and it will download the new version. Install from there and upgrade , although mine showed a downgrade !. Anyway it upgraded to the new version.

Got it...thanks!

I just bought the Tomahawk, now I'm trying to resist the urge to buy this for it. Edit. I lasted 5 minutes.

  • I think you're being too picky.  This is done all for free.  Sim attachments takes time but it's not impossible.  You could try your own user mod with a single 650.  I think there is another user doin

  • In this case you are correct! Now we can finally say: Please enjoy crossfill!

Well now that I have that all sorted, I fire up MSFS 2024 and the Cessna 185 is nowhere to be found. It was before I updated all the TDS stuff. Why does MSFS 2024 have to be so convoluted sometimes? Grrr.

It is poorly presented... On mine it says "Download the ProUpgrade, using the TDS manager".

But that is indeed where you should click.. 🫢

The plane is missing completely?  Or the gtn isn't showing?

If it's just the gtn don't forget to grab the files for the default planes here

The plane is now completely missing. I did grab those files and extracted them into my CF and then when I loaded up MSFS2024 the 185 was gone.

To add further confusion, I had downloaded and installed the mod files for the 185 and the 172. BOTH aircraft are now missing from my MSFS 2024 install. I DO have the G1000 version of the 172. What gives?

Ah it's only for the steam gauge version in premium deluxe.  It's odd that the 185 is gone though.  Do you have any other mods for the 185?

Also check the library in 2024 and make sure the 185 wasn't disabled randomly.  That happens to me on occasion.

I know it's for the steam gauge 172, which I DO have. My point was that once I installed those mods, I was only left with the G1000 172 in MSFS 2024. My 172 steam and 185 both were missing after that.

Also, I have checked the library and it says the 185 is activated for streaming.

Okay, whew! Finally got it all to work. What I had to do was DOWNGRADE my TDS GTNxi install. Very strange, why I would need to downgrade to an older version of the GTN in order to use the NEW upgrade crossfill ability. I had version 1.3.0.0 of the TDS exe and I had to select DOWNGRADE in the TDS manager, to 1.2.9.0 or similar. Anyhow, now it all works.

Oh that's a known bug with the latest installer.  Oops I should have led with that lol.

Glad it's working!

Okay beyond jnstallation can someone explain the benefits of this function? Is it simply redundancy across two gps’? How would you use this in real life and what are the benefits? I’m sure there are some as this was probably a big thing to code but someone clue me in please 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️
