Are you sure there isn't a hot air balloon floating right above you?Seriously it looks like the transparency of the rotor discs is not honored when casting ground shadows.

Hi emile, I wish I could post this in french to you, but alas I all I know is merci beaucoup. hahaI asked that question, because it is possible that the designer made the rotor disk that way.Ron, in his post below, is pretty much correct, if simply substituting another texture did not work. To the limit of my limited knowledge (which is doing gmax buildings, not helo rotors), such a change requires changing the material settings in gmax/3dsmax and then re-exporting the mdl.I know if it were a building with transparency, such as an airport control tower window deck, it would indeed require re-export. It's possible that you could use DXTBmp to fiddle with the alpha for that part of the texture that is devoted to the rotor disc, but this seems unlikely to work in my mind, and would be tedious to say the least.Fs9 and FSX handle transparency quite differently. In fact between FSX RTM and FSX SP1 and SP2 there was a change as well.RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.80 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT
