September 6, 2025Sep 6 ^ Those are the standard headstrap made my Meta. Everyone likes an upgrade headstrap. In America, the one by Yoges is very popular. This strap includes the battery on the back. https://www.amazon.com/YOGES-Compatible-Rechargable-Headstrap-Accessories/dp/B0F9KYXM37 But in Sweden they seem to be sold out? https://www.amazon.se/-/en/Battery-Compatible-Rechargable-Headstrap-Playtime/dp/B0CJBR5YLV 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
September 14, 2025Sep 14 I posted earlier about how bad my crystal light was, it was almost certainly a second hand headset, one of the lens protectors was stuck elsewhere in the packaging and not on the lens as it should be, also the box had been Sellotaped back up several times. It was more than likely a returned item that someone else has similar problems with and they just took their chances and shipped it back out again. I got it through Amazon UK just because of their returns policy and when I ordered it showed 3 left in stock, which went down to two as you would expect, it currently shows 3 left in stock again so beware if you order one from there you will most probably get the one I sent back. A lot of the amazon reviews say similar about second hand items being shipped and it has a 38% one star review, even amazons own bumf says its a highly returned item. It may well be the best headset out there but you might go through half a dozen or more headsets before you fine one that works, it looks to me like a high risk item you stand a good chance of losing out on ultimately.

I bought mine brand new for a reason from Amazon, never had a single issue with it. September 14, 2025Sep 14 Author My current impression about my question is this. It seem doubtful that my system is powerful enough for the CL. I got an email from Pimax where they wrote about the cpu. For recommended requirement they state an amd cpu 7900. Which is significantly stronger than my 5800X3D.

Is a 5800X3D system to weak for PCL ?

I wouldn't enjoy that 5800x3D though, since fps would be half of what can be achieved with those newer cpu's AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.

I have a 5800X3D, my cpu is 4700, and my PCL works great! a 7900 that is not an X3D will not give anywhere near as good performance as yours. X3D is the key. 33 fps locked (it can run up to the middle and high 40's if not locked). But that's not with full settings. I have been using these lately: Pimax Client: 90hz Upscale, Foveated Rendering QuadView Balanced, Image Quality: High (full headset resolution) 2880x2880 pixels per eye. MSFS VR settings: DLSS Performance, Foveated Rendering OFF (because I have it ON in PImax), Global Rendering Quality Medium. FPS stays locked at 33. I don't get stutters or hesitations appoaching airports. This is in msfs2024. I seldom use 2020. I can't crank the DLSS all the way to Quality, and can't set the Global Rendering to Ultra. Not enough horse power to do that, 🙂 People on Youtube with 7900X3D and 5090 get 50 fps and settings higher than I can use with a Crystal Light or even a Crystal Super. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
