PMDG 737 NG 600/700 & FSX/ACCELERATON

Recommended Posts

Guest macjack

I have heard it said in several places that the PMDG 737 600/700 will run on FSX. Is this true? If so, does anybody know whether it will run on FSX/Acceleration with OS Vista Ultimate 64? Just curious.Jack McAfee

The best place to ask this is the PMDG forum here at AVSIM. I don't know how well it does/doesn't work is FSX, but, as you probably know, it was designed for FS9. They are nearing release of the MD-11 in the next few weeks, and the next project is the 737NG for FSX.

I've tried it on Xp32 (FSX + Accel), and it will show up and you can fly it, but the FMC won't work properly so you can't load flight plans into it.

Obviously it is not supported but I did have it running in FSX at one point. From memory, don't install the update 1.2 to 1.3 which renders it unusable. Hence you have to fly with no clickable VC. I did not have a problem with the FMC as far as I recall (it was a year+ ago) but the engine start functions did not work correctly. Tabs has mentioned other issues on the PMDG forum.Maybe others made more progress.
