Problems with GF Hardware

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I have 4 devices; the RP48, GF46, T8 and MCP-Pro. I am having some issues of late with my RP48, GF46, and the T8. My system is running Vista64 with FSX & Accelleration, (fully updated). These 3 devices do not function or illuminate when FSX runs. I also have the MCP-Pro which works fine. I un/re-installed the GF software but still have the issue. I doubt it's the deviced because I can access normally them from GFConfig. I have tried different combinations but the 3 in my radio stack do not work. What is strange is that they were working up until I loaded SB4 & Wheelcam. I have tried uninstalling both and the issue remains. Could this be a simconnect problem? Any suggestions?Kevinhttp://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y81/kconl...sim/UAL1930.jpg

The current version of GFDevFSX.exe does not work under Vista. There have been numerous postings on the GoFlight site and e-mails to them and no response. Here is what I did.First, uninstall the GoFlight software. Go to the GoFlight site and download the next older version of the software (not the current one - 1.77). Install the older version.COPY all the newly installed files to a separate folder - NOTE: DO NOT MOVE THE FILES. Uninstall the GoFlight software you just installed. Now, go back to the GoFlight site and download/install the new version - 1.77.Go the the directory where you copied the previous install and copy all 5 (GFDev.dll, GFDev2k2.dll, GFDev2k4, GFDevFSX.exe, and GFDevFSX.ini) of the GFDev*.* files into the newly installed directory - 1.77. Overwrite all the files when prompted. Now you have the current version of GFConfig.exe (and associated files) and the previous version of GFDev (data-bridge)files.The only thing that will not work when you do this is the led's on your hardware will not turn off when you terminate FSX. To turn off the led's, execute your GFConfig.exe and then close the window. This will turn off the lights. Other than that, the data-bridge software from the previous version of the GoFlight software allows your hardware to operate properly.fb

I have been running GoFlight modules with vista 64 bit ultimate for a long time now. FSX with acceleration and GoFlight latest drivers. If I try fb's way I loose the ability to use the MCP with the LDS 767.I do have the problem of the Data bridge not closing but rather that than not use the MCP with the 767Trevg

I concur with fb, and his fix is what I did to get the modules to work with FSX about a year ago - thanks fb! Nice tip on turning off the module lights too, didn't know that!Regards,http://www.my-buddy-icon.com/Icons/objects/red_3d_plane.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD

Trevg,Do you have the Level D addon for GoFlight. I use my MCP quite frequently with the B767 and have had no trouble. BTW - you have to set the GFConfig software to Level D before you use the aircraft.fb
